We were absolutely delighted to welcome Dr. Megan Volpe, Medical Director at Rescue Village, for a wonderful mentorship session with our doctors.
Fun Fact: Dr. Volpe was one of the first veterinarians for Pet Fix when we operated out of a mobile unit! She shared that the first stop they made was at Friendship Animal Protective League- 20 years ago!

Cleveland really does ROCK ⚡️
Thank you to the entire amazing team at Petfix Northeast Ohio for being great hosts this week! Be. was on the ground in Garfield Heights, working alongside the PetFix team to help them get their gorgeous new clinic up and running at full steam! We got a warm welcome and had a great time sharing some HQHVSN tips with everyone.
PetFix is making a HUGE impact up here in the north and we are honored and humbled to get to spend time with them. Thanks to our partners at ASPCA for supporting this trip. Special thanks to Dr. Megan Barrett Volpe and Rescue Village for sharing your surgical expertise 😍🐾

The ASPCA has announced a new round of Spay/Neuter Grants, and we encourage all of our partners, animal shelters, veterinary clinics, rescue organizations, and community groups working to expand access to care to take a look.

These grants represent an incredible opportunity to increase spay/neuter capacity, improve access to services, and create lasting impact for pets and the communities they call home.

🐾This is the kind of work that creates real, lasting change for pets and people in the Río Grande Valley. ❤️

Be. Spay Neuter is proud to officially launch our HQHVSN (High-Quality High-Volume Spay/Neuter) Surgeon Training Program this week, made possible through the incredible support of Maddie’s Fund.

Thanks to this generous funding, we are able to provide FREE advanced spay/neuter training for local veterinarians who want to increase their surgical capacity and provide greater access to care in the RGV to help meet the overwhelming need for affordable veterinary services in their community.

For so many families in the Valley, access to veterinary care can feel out of reach. By training more skilled, efficient spay/neuter surgeons locally, we are helping create a future where more pets can receive care before they end up suffering, abandoned, or entering overcrowded shelters. This work keeps pets healthier, helps families keep the animals they love, and directly impacts the cycle of overpopulation in the RGV.🌈

We are so excited to welcome our first trainees:
🐾 Dr. Stevens, the newly hired veterinarian at Palm Valley Animal Society.
🐾 Dr. Cantu, who will soon open South Texas Veterinary Care South Texas Veterinary Care in McAllen.

Investing in local veterinarians means investing in sustainable solutions for this community. More trained surgeons means more access to care, more lifesaving surgeries, and more pets staying where they belong, at home with the people who love them.

We can’t wait to watch this program grow and continue building a stronger future for animals in the Río Grande Valley. 💙
