When you're not feeling well and you have to come to the vet twice in one week, you get hugs from Dr. Kim! 🩺🦠

Neptune, as strong as he is💪, has an upset tummy. We started treating with a bland diet, probiotic, and medication to help reduce nausea, but his symptoms got worse, so he came back today for the diagnostic trifecta--x-rays🩻, bloodwork🩸💉, and urine testing🧪🔬. You can see here our vet tech, Ayelet, using our ultrasound machine to capture urine.

We sure hope you feel better soon, Neptune 🧜‍♂️🌒!

Have you recently added a new pet to your family? Are you nervous about their first vet appointment? No shame - it can be common! There’s lots of variables and we all want to make sure your baby is well taken care of. Don’t worry, though, because we’ve got you covered! 😉

We strive to provide a loving and calming atmosphere that keeps both our clients and our patients as comfortable as possible. This includes little Mars, the Shiba Inu puppy, who recently had her very first vet visit with us! Boy, was she brave. It of course helped that we couldn’t stop giving hugs and cuddles. I mean, how could you not? Just look at that face!

Even the bravest babies still need lots of love during their visits, which we are more than happy to give. We are also happy to answer any questions you have, whether you are a new pet parent or if you have had pets your whole life. We’re here to support you! 🐶🐱

Here is little man Bob 🐾 He had a great weekend walking around our amazing city, including going to the park and getting treats. 💕

Cones aren’t always fun to wear, but they can be necessary and are quite helpful; thank you to Bob for showing us that although the cone is on, the fun is certainly not off!

🦷 Weird Tooth Facts You Didn’t Know You Needed🦷

🐳🦄: A narwhal’s “horn”? Actually a giant upper left 3rd incisor tooth that can grow up to 9 feet long.
🐴: A horse’s teeth are built for a lifetime of serious chewing—they have long reserve crowns and continue to erupt gradually to compensate for wear. (So technically, they don’t grow forever like rodent teeth—another fun fact!)
🐶: And your dog? 42 adult teeth.
🐱: Your cat? 30 adult teeth.

That’s a lot of teeth to keep track of in one little mouth!

But here’s the part we really want you to know:
👀 About 60% of each tooth is hiding below the gumline. That means even a tooth that looks perfectly normal on the surface can have disease hiding underneath. Dental X-rays allow your veterinary team to see the roots, surrounding bone, and problems that simply can’t be seen by looking in the mouth with the naked eye (unless you’re Superman, of course 😉) 😱🐾
