We are so happy to announce Quinn found his forever home.

From a stray in Detroit, emaciated, and full of scars weighing only 65 pounds to a very loved member of his new family. His foster mom loved him for 417 days. We thank her.

Thank you to Gordon and Michelle for opening up your heart and home to Quinn.

Happy gotcha day Quinn.

We wish you all many years of love and happiness. So many walks ahead.

WHEN YOU ADOPT A DOG!!!

Adopting a rescue dog? Put yourself in his paws. Pretend some very kind people, who you do not know, take you to their home in a foreign land. You enter their home which is filled with strange sights and smells. You neither understand their culture nor their rules. Where is the bathroom??? You are dying to ask. But, they do not speak your language. They offer you strange food in a strange dish. Maybe I shouldn't eat this til I figure out the bathroom thing. At some point, they all leave. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHEN OR IF THEY'LL RETURN. If you're a rescued dog, the last humans you trusted disappeared. P**F!
This is why we say to you....give your new dog at least two weeks. Maybe more. To adjust. No parties. No exciting excursions. STRUCTURE! If you put yourself in their paws, it makes so much sense!

Who’s gonna be the lucky one in adopt Jacks?

He was rescued from the streets and taken in by the compassionate team at Indianapolis Animal Care Services, who have given him a second chance at a happy life.

Approximately one year old, Jacks is a sweet and endearing individual with so much love to give. Although he requires some time to adjust and settle, he is ready to embark on a new journey with his forever family.

Key details about Jacks include:
neutered
microchipped
up-to-date on vaccinations
heartworm-negative
on prevention
undergoing potty training.

Jacks is able to live with the righr female companion , However, his compatibility with cats is unknown.

The ideal home for Jacks would have experience with his breed,
children over eight years old, Jack would love a fenced yard where he can thrive.

Our mini-me Dallas got scrubbed yesterday and honestly she desperately needed a top-to-bottom detail. Huge props to Danielle the miracle worker who spent a solid 2.5 hours getting her squeaky clean - proof that even tiny akitas require massive amounts of grooming effort! Seven wash cycles in, the water finally decided to cooperate. We are totally obsessed with this little stinker.
