🚨New Client Alert🚨 Who's this little explorer seeing all the new Chicago sights? 🕵️ It's Dora, our newest little pup! 🐶

Dora came all the way from Hawaii, and this tropical doggie is ready to take Chicago by storm. 🌴 In case you couldn't tell by her big ears and sweet little face, she is a Chihuahua mix and, while she is a little shy and unsure of her surroundings as a new girl in the big city, once she warms up to you she is the happiest pup around! 🥰

We are so excited to welcome Miss Dora to our great city, we hope she loves it as much as we love her! 💚🐾

With the holiday comes fireworks, so while you celebrate and enjoy the festivities, always be aware of how your furry friends are feeling. 🎆 Make sure your pets have collars and tags with their information on them, as the fireworks can startle furbabies enough for them to try and get away through any means possible! 🙀 Try to negate this as well by keeping your pets inside and in a dark, calming environment so they don't get too overwhelmed. 😌

If there's one thing our Pet Care Specialists love to see when they come into a client's home, it's big eyes looking up at them and meowing for treats. 🥹 We can't help but indulge their refined tastes, of course. 😹

🚨New Client Alert🚨 This is Jake, Green Paws' newest Black Lab mix who is so excited to meet you! 🤩

Jake is a friendly boy who loves to meet new friends and who warms up to just about everyone. 🤗 He does get a little shy around kids at first but, just like adults, he is quick to befriend them! ☺️ He loves to play tag, tug-of-war, and fetch with his friends. ⚾He also loves to walk along the lakefront, breathing in the fresh air off the water and watching the seagulls fly past. 🕊

Suns out, tongues out! 🌞 It's time for another Green Paws ! 💚🐾

If you've ever wondered why some pets leave their tongues sticking out a little bit, we're here to explain why that might be! 👅 Commonly called 'blepping', a pet sticking their tongue out for an extending period of time can mean a few different things. 🧐 Dental pain, overheating, or nervous energy aside it can also mean that your pup or kitty is relaxed! 😌 When cats and dogs are at peace, their jaw muscles relax, which causes their tongues to loll out of their mouths on occasion. 😝 Make sure to keep an eye out for other pain symptoms, however, just to make sure it's not anything serious! 🫣
