Microchip Hunters urges pet owners whose pets have a SAVE THIS LIFE MICROCHIP to register their microchip with another registry as soon as possible.

Save This Life microchips commonly begin with 991001 or 900164, and Microchip Hunters is still receiving many cases of found animals with these “dead-end” microchips with no owner information available!

As of February 2025, Save This Life is no longer in business, meaning microchip registrations with them can no longer be accessed.

Good News: You can register the microchip with any of the established microchip registries, including AKC Reunite, AVID, HomeAgain, PetLink, and 24PetWatch (now PetPlace). Some registries are free to register with, while others charge a nominal fee. No need to pay for extra features.

RIP ARCHIE 🐾🌈💔

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that Archie crossed the rainbow bridge. He was my first rescue when we became foster failures in 2013. Thank you for taking a chance on him, so that we could have the opportunity to be so loved. He was my soul dog. My constant companion and shadow. The goodest boy there ever was and we’re so incredibly blessed he chose us, to be his family. He was the best big brother to my 2 kids and the best younger brother, to his older dog sibling. We were the lucky ones! He’s at peace now, and for that, we’re grateful.

This is why we do what we do!! Thank you to his forever family for loving him so hard and unconditionally!

Bwr alum Bronco is in town from LA. His mom is in town doing a jazz performance and Bronco is her traveling buddy. Always by her side! You both are looking great!

BEANS! Welcome to BWR!
We busted her out of the shelter after she was turned in as a stray! She is a total sweetheart who loves kids and laps! More to come as she settles into her foster home!
