Dr. Dylan Frederickson started his first veterinary practice in Logan Square 2014 naming it "Boulevard Veterinary" as a nod to the historic Boulevard systems in Chicago. Following strong growth of the practice in Logan Square due to a dedication to AAHA standards and personalized client and patient care, Dr. Dylan decided to open a second location River North--another pet-friendly Chicago neighborhood rich in history. We look forward to getting to know our River North neighbors and becoming an integral part of the community. About Dr. Dylan

Dr. Dylan Frederickson grew up on a small family dairy farm in central Wisconsin. This background helped forge a lifelong respect for animals which compelled him to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. Following completion of his undergraduate studies at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Dr. Frederickson attended the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in Madison, WI, graduating in 2006. After a short stint of both large and small animal practice in Wisconsin, Dr. Frederickson moved to Chicago and began exclusive small animal practice. Dr. Frederickson lives in Logan Square with wife Kelly, their dog Woody, and cat Smokey-Panther.

❌ The bad news: she thinks all dogs are the goodest 🤷‍♀️

Swing by for the parade even if your pet isn’t registered! It’s super fun and cute 🐩🐕‍🦺🦮📸

We're excited to announce that Boulevard Veterinary River North passed its American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) Accreditation Inspection last week and that both of our locations are now officially AAHA Accredited!

Only 12% of veterinary hospitals in the U.S. and Canada have met their rigorous standards of excellence and accreditation application is completely voluntary. To become AAHA accredited, our practice was evaluated for approximately 900 standards of veterinary care established by AAHA veterinary experts. We had our facilities inspected, standard operating procedures reviewed, and medical records evaluated for thoroughness.

Shout out to the BLVD Team for making this possible. Their hard work and dedication are essential to what makes BLVD a great place to bring your pets.

Great news! We have partnered up with Canine Sports Dog Training to offer "Just Puppy!" training classes at our River North location on Thursday nights at 6:30pm. Any puppy younger than 6 months of age is welcome, and any level of training is welcome as well.

Canine Sports Dog Training will handle all scheduling and billing through their website. Boulevard Veterinary River North is offering its lobby for the classes to help make it easier and more convenient for you to get good, local puppy classes for your developing pup--something we think is very important for socialization and all the other many questions that can arise during puppy-hood.

If you are interested in joining a class, please sign up on the CDST website. The class size will be limited to no more than 6 puppies and is first come, first served. First class is May 24th! 🐶

Register for Just Puppy! (BLVD) on 5/24/2018 @ 6:30 PM at BLVD Veterinary with Joe Saltarelli
