☀️ Heat Awareness Day is here!🌡️
Rising temps can be dangerous for our furry friends! Heat stroke in pets can happen FAST, so knowing the warning signs could save a life. 🐾 Keep your pets cool, safe, and summer-ready with these tips:
🐶🐱 Signs of overheating:
•Excessive panting
•Drooling more than usual
•Bright red gums or tongue
•Vomiting or diarrhea
•Weakness, stumbling, or collapse
Heat safety tips:
•Always provide fresh, cool water 💧
•Avoid walks during the hottest parts of the day
•Test pavement with your hand before walks
•Never leave pets in parked cars, even for a minute 🚗☀️
•Make sure outdoor pets have shade and airflow
⚠️ If your pet seems overheated:
•Move them to a cool area immediately
•Offer small amounts of water
•Use cool (not ice cold) towels on paws and belly
•Contact your veterinarian right away
