๐ถ Calling All Chicago Student Musicians! ๐ถ
Got a band practice coming up? A recital around the corner?
Or maybe your sibling really wants quiet time, and you just need somewhere to play? ๐
Chicago Animal Care and Control is opening our outdoor spaces and pavilions to Chicago students who need a place to practice their instruments... while giving our pets some gentle enrichment at the same time. ๐พ
Weโve been in early conversations with several CPS music teachers about creating supportive practice opportunities for students across the city. Now weโre extending the invite to any student musician whoโd like to help soothe our pets with soft, calm melodies.
๐ป What You Can Do:
Play acoustic, gentle, quiet music in our yards or pavilions. Our pets benefit from soft, relaxing sounds and you get your practice time without disturbing home or neighbors.
๐บ What We Avoid:
No brass, percussion, amps, or loud instruments. This keeps sessions safe and stress-free for the animals.
๐จโ๐ฉโ๐ง If youโre under 18:
A parent or legal guardian must remain on-site during your session.
๐ Location: 2741 S Western Ave
๐ฉ Interested? Email us at [email protected] to schedule a supervised practice slot.
Help comfort Chicagoโs homeless pets one melody at a time. ๐ถโค๐ถ
