📢 The Pet Food Pantry is changing. Beginning June 1, 2026, pet food will be available on our shelves during pantry shopping. This change comes after record breaking pet food distributions each month, showing us how the need for pet food has been rising. At The Friendship Center, we are committed to serving the whole person and are eager to provide pet food with everyday groceries and personal hygiene products. The pantry hours are Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 12 pm to 4 pm and Tuesday from 3 pm to 7 pm. Households from Cook County can shop twice a month; there are no eligibility requirements.

La Despensa de Alimentos para Mascotas está cambiando. A partir del 1 de junio de 2026, los alimentos para mascotas estarán disponibles en nuestros estantes durante la compra en la despensa. Este cambio se produce tras distribuciones mensuales récord de alimento para mascotas, lo que nos demuestra cómo ha ido aumentando la necesidad de este tipo de alimento. 2026 Pet Food Pantry Dates

January 17, February 21, March 21, April 18, May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15, September 19, October 17, November 14, and December 12.
NEW! We will no longer require proof of neuter or spay, and we are typically able to provide for up to four pets per household.

Fechas del banco de alimentos para mascotas en 2026:

🧡 ANNOUNCING “THE GIVING TABLE” AT ALIVE RESCUE 🧡

~ Compassion In Action ~

On November 1st, when the federal government halted SNAP benefits for 41 million Americans, countless children, seniors, people with disabilities, unhoused neighbors, and hard-working families suddenly faced an empty table.

At ALIVE Rescue, we couldn’t stand by. We know that when people struggle, their pets struggle too — and we’re here for both. That’s why we launched The Giving Table, a community-powered effort to bring food, supplies, and hope to those most affected.

Serving Southeast Wisconsin (Kenosha County and Milwaukee) and Chicago, we collect essential food and supplies and deliver them to our trusted pantry partners — organizations that are currently helping feed over 17,000 people each month.

When support fades, community steps forward.

Together, we can make sure no table is empty — and no family, human or animal, is forgotten.
