Tuesday Tongue fact 😋 Did you know a cats tongue is covered in hundreds of tiny spines called papillae✨ Usually feeling like sand paper when they lick us, it’s used by their wild cousins to scrape meat off the bones of their dinner 🦁🐯

For us getting pics like this Is just super cute 😭❤️ and we as owners just call this little bleps🤣

Happy Caturday 🐾 on today’s episode of cat we have Zucchini who told us all about his prep for the recent Wednesday events in the world☄️ if you didn’t know some planets aligned, a new moon, solar eclipse and meteor shower allllllllllll in one day😱 So he wore his hat to keep himself safe in case aliens showed up at this point 👽🛸 Lolol jk
Actually we use this hat for our patients during procedures to keep them warm🙏 making sure the babies are keeping the correct body temperature is very important, the fact that this looks cute is just a plus😉

Hello clinic family, although the website and Google say we are open Unfortuantly for the month of August we are not open any Saturday. We do apologize for any inconvenience this causes you all. We are currently short staff and hope to resolve this soon. If there is any medical emergency please take to your nearest 24hr animal emergency or to .care (Skokie, west loop or Lincoln park)🚨

To snack or not to snack lol we made a new friend today❤️ Meet Tobias✨ 1 year old Sphynx who wanted to help reception today 🥺 He saw I was alone up front and was on the desk 😭 He wanted to help make appointments but our tech Kiki distracted him with snacks❤️ He enjoyed his lickable treat from our friends before having a perfect exam 😍 Such a sweet man 😍🥰 His mama says he’s also very fashionable so we can’t wait to see those picture 📸

With the Chicago weather getting hotter I think Penelope is getting crazier lol☀️She wants to feel the crazy Chicago humidity 😅 just so you all know this lasted less than 5 minutes because omg what is this heat😝

Here are some tips for the not crazy cats to stay nice and cool indoors 👏
- create areas in your home as cooling sections with cooling pads, fans and shade 🪭
- Put more bowls out with cold water or add ice to it💧 have to stay hydrated so allowing them access to more water is very important 👏
- have some fun with it✨ grab a bowl, use your kitty’s favorite squeeze treat (churu, delectables, Fussie cats), add water to it, and use a ice cube tray or ice pop tray to create a frozen treat❤️
- if you’re able to keep the AC running please do so, having cool air circulating is very important or some box fans 🙂
