Although summer is over, prevention is not.

Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention is highly recommended year round. NexgardPlus (for dogs) makes it easy by having one monthly chew that takes care of all three. For cats, NexgardCOMBO is an option or Revolution Plus (discuss with your veterinarian what would be the best fit for your kitty!

You can buy NexGardPlus and Revolution Plus in clinic or online, make sure your pet is up to date on both their annuals and labwork (when applicable).

Breaks in between patients sometimes leads to learning moments. Here, our technicians are practicing taking Wof’s blood pressure. 🐕

Blood pressure helps provide useful information such as revealing hidden diseases, help track chronic health conditions, and guide a vet towards a treatment plan depending on your pet’s health.

Our partnership to make sure all pets are flea and tick protected with NexGardPlus for dogs or NexgardCombo for cats 🐈 🐕 - ticks survive in temperatures above 40°F/4°C and with warmer temperatures, we recommend YEAR long protection.

Ticks do not die when the temps go down, they’re go into hiding or make their way indoors as well. Chicago is home to coyotes, bunnies, birds, owls & other rodents and small creatures - we can’t control what our pets are exposed to 100% but we can try to prevent any outcomes.

*preventatives are prescription, your pet must be up to date on a wellness, heartworm test (dogs) in order to get a prescription on flea and tick prevention.
