The reviews are in and Honcho has received an award for "Most Likely to be the Goodest of Boys on a Walk"

A real award for a real good adoptable boy. Honcho is 11 years old and looking to spend his golden years in a forever home. He's potty trained and lived with kids previously making him an excellent family pet.

We were absolutely thrilled to welcome 6x Olympic medalist Aly Raisman and BISSELL as we celebrated the 10th anniversary of the BISSELL Pet Foundation's adoption event.

This incredible adoption promotion helped viral best friends Bird and Dee find their forever home, ensuring this bonded pair could stay together and begin their next chapter with a family of their own.

We are so grateful for the partnership and shared commitment to helping pets find the loving homes they deserve.

Spaying and neutering your pets matters. A lot.

It reduces the risk of certain cancers and infections, supports better behavior, and helps reduce the number of animals entering shelters.

Appointments are open to all and there are no eligibility requirements. Book your appointment today: anticruelty.org/appointment

🚨 Jake is looking for his person! 🚨

This handsome guy has a sensitive spirit, but once he realized he was safe, his sweet personality started to shine. 💙

Jake loves being around his people and is ready to trade shelter life for a cozy couch, daily adventures (after his heartworm treatment, of course!), and a family to call his own.

Jake is ready for the next chapter.

Waived adoption fees all month long for Pride. Because Love is what every adoption is built on.

It is the dog that finally stops shaking when someone sits on the floor beside them. It is the adopter who says “we are ready” even when life is still a little messy. It is the moment a second chance becomes a real home.

This Pride Month, we are opening more doors so those moments can happen more often. Because Love is not a tagline here. It is the reason every adoption happens at all.

Pawsitivity Training with Behavior Expert Stephanie! Today's topic: Luring ✨

Luring is when we use a treat like a magnet to guide the dog into a desired behavior. By holding the treat near their nose, we can encourage them to move, sit, or lie down exactly how we want.

Common mistakes include moving the treat too quickly or holding it too far from the dog’s nose. If a dog starts chomping at your hand while you’re luring, let us know. We can adjust by capturing the behavior instead or using a tool like a spatula or ball launcher to safely deliver the treat.

When done correctly, luring helps dogs learn new behaviors clearly and confidently, while keeping training fun and safe.
