POV: you thought leash training meant hours of work… every day… forever.

Then you realize it’s actually about a few focused minutes done consistently.

Short sessions.
Clear communication.
And Way less frustration (for both of you).

Because your puppy doesn’t need marathon training sessions…
they need simple, repeatable practice that actually makes sense.

Brushing your dog’s teeth is one of those things that sounds “extra” until you realize dental disease is super common in dogs

The good news?
It doesn’t have to be a huge battle.

Start small.
Go slow.
Make it positive.

Even just a few seconds now will save you THOUSANDS at the vets later!

Hand cues are great enrichment for dogs because they make them really focus and think through what you’re asking.

They can also be incredibly helpful for senior dogs or dogs with hearing loss, like my Angel was ❤️

And honestly? On super hot days when a long walk isn’t safe, little training sessions like this can go a long way!

A few minutes.
Some treats.
A dog feeling successful.

That still counts 🐾

Back in the suburbs?
Quiet walks
More space
Fewer triggers

Then they moved to the city…

Dogs everywhere
Sounds everywhere
Stress everywhere

And suddenly the old training stopped working.

So instead of focusing on correction, we focused on helping the dog actually feel SAFE around other dogs.

More confidence
More fun
Way less pressure

And now?
This dog can actually enjoy walks again 🐾

Follow for realistic dog training that focuses on how dogs feel, not just how they behave.

"This has helped us make walks so much manageable with our reactive dog and her brother. We have started enjoying going on walks with them again!" -Miguel

Sometimes your dog just needs space to sniff, decompress, and exist for a minute

Finding a quiet grassy area and using a long line (15–30 ft) gives your dog the freedom to explore safely while helping their nervous system relax.

And the best part?
Those calmer moments can actually help create smoother walks at home.

You can even mix in a few short training moments while they’re sniffing to strengthen your cues around real distractions without turning the whole walk into a training drill.

More sniffing.
Less pressure.
Way happier walks for everyone 😌

Enrichment does NOT have to look like a Pinterest craft project 😅

A cardboard box
A towel
A few treats
Boom 💥
Mental stimulation

The goal is to give your dog a safe, simple way to sniff, lick, shred, forage, and use their brain.

Simple enrichment still counts and honestly will probably be your pups favorite 😍
