Every dog is different so just because Fluffy over there loves every dog doesnā€™t mean Spike does. Itā€™s okay to ask people/dogs for space and to not allow someone to pet your dog. Donā€™t feel bad for standing up for your dogs needs. You should always try to do whatā€™s best for you and your dog, not other people

Putting your dog in some hard situations is a way to help them overcome fears and build up their confidence. You can see how Winstonā€™s confidence grows from the start to the end of this. Most dogs donā€™t have strong rear end awareness but by jumping onto things it helps them understand how to use that ass! It also builds confidence and trust in you as a handler for your dog. The more successful reps you do, the more comfortable they are going to be

Morty is a spunky and adorable 5 month old Havanese/Shih tzu puppy who is here to spice up your life! This little guy definitely has big dog energy. Since he is always the life of the party FOMO is real. During his B&T we are focusing on positive exposure in different environments, crate and potty training. Along with understanding leash foundation so he can go on long worn walk his family. Morty is ready to show this big world what this little guys got!

Flashback to my bachelorette party last year, a trip that was one for the books and I will never forget!

Thankful for all my clients who understand that these types of weekends away are needed. It doesnā€™t happen often but everyone needs some time off to reset or simply let their hair down. Especially to prevent burnout as a small business owner. The relationships I have built not only with my clients but more importantly with their dogs go beyond just dog training and it shows. Blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing support system of humans in and out of SLM

Having a well trained dog can be a reflection of you as an owner. Understanding your dog and being able to do things with them is awesome but it all starts with having a foundation through training. So even if itā€™s for 5 min, go have a training session with your dog. A little bit a day goes a long way! And remember every dogā€™s training journey is different with many ups and downs. So itā€™s not about comparing, itā€™s about training the dog in front of you. Progress over perfection.

Cash is a tiny and very cute one year old miniature dachshund who has such a big smile. He can be a sensitive soul but luckily he has his little brother Morty by his side now. During his B&T we are focusing on building up his confidence in new environments/people while working through leash reactivity and separation anxiety. FOMO is real so learning how to settle on his own is going to be key. Cash is slowly becoming an independent king

Thank you to everyone who came out this morning for our Pack Walk! Luckily we didnā€™t get too dirty since we stayed on the path instead of the trails but the air was thick and the sweat was real. All the dogs did amazing walking by various distractions including bikers, runners, groups of people, and even a deer crossing/jumping in front of us! What a great way to start this Summer Sunday
