Something has been sitting on my mind & I wanted to share with all you Dog lovers👇🏼

Help your dog be a dog. Studies have shown that 60% of an average dog’s brain is related to his nose. That means, in order for our pups to properly process their environment, they must use their noses. Without tapping into that super power, they cannot accurately assess the world around them.

We just love these Client Testimonials & more is on the way😉

It’s my philosophy as a trainer / behavior consultant. A general summary : tag line- “Let love not sentimentality guide your pet ownership.” - That means that we do what is best for them even if it feels uncomfortable for us.
Not everything a pet wants is good for them. We will avoid things that may feel good to us but not be good for them. Our pets are a part of our family but they’re not human.

Correct or, better yet, prevent the (mis)behavior, don't punish the dog. Teaching and communication is what it's all about, not getting even with your dog. If you're taking an "it's-you-against-your dog, whip 'em into shape" approach, you'll undermine your relationship, while missing out on all the fun that a motivational training approach can offer. Additionally, after-the-fact discipline does NOT work.

Did you know that using Positive Reinforcement is the best way to train a rescue dog (and any dog)?

Positive reinforcement is when you reward your dog for doing what’s right rather than scolding him/her for doing something ‘wrong.’ Actually, all dogs, including rescue dogs, respond better when you show them love and compassion instead of scolding them

Yes, there are many health benefits of owning a pet. They can increase opportunities to exercise, get outside, and socialize.
Regular walking or playing with pets can decrease blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and triglyceride levels. Pets can help manage loneliness and depression by giving us companionship. Most households in the United States have at least one pet.

📌Beware of poisonous plants and foods as the weather changes. Avoid grapes, raisins, chocolate, onions, avacado, daffodils, cannabis, antifreeze and the list goes on. As we do spring cleaning, plan picnics or other activities, learn about dangers to your pup hiding in plain sight. You can protect them from the pain, and protect yourself from the expense by proactively eliminating these threats.
