Our newest addition made it home! Rain is our other new upcoming female. We have high hopes for her as her sire has multiple group placements in AKC. Rain has lines out of both Russia and Ukraine adding in new diversity and she is a red sable adding in a fun new pattern to our program 🌧️

Most well-bred puppies are pets. ❤️

A preservation breeder may spend years studying pedigrees, health testing, evaluating temperament, structure and breed type, and planning a litter.

They may ultimately keep one puppy to carry their breeding program forward.

But the rest?

They become someone’s hiking partner.
They grow up alongside children.
They sleep on couches and wait at the door for their people.
They become therapy dogs, hunting companions, adventure buddies—or simply very loved family dogs.

Preservation breeding isn’t only about producing the next show dog or breeding dog.

It’s also about sending healthy, predictable, thoughtfully bred puppies into wonderful pet homes—and being there for those families for the lifetime of the dog.

The puppy that is “just a pet” is never just anything. For most breeders, those homes are the heart of every litter. ❤️

🐾 If you have a dog from a preservation breeder, what has that dog become to your family?
