🪱 Worms are more common than you think — and dogs and cats can pick them up in many different ways! 🐶🐱

Heartworms are spread by mosquito bites 🦟, while tapeworms often come from swallowing infected fleas. Roundworms and hookworms can be picked up from contaminated soil, f***s, or even passed from mother pets to their puppies and kittens. 😟

Some pets may not show signs right away, but worms can cause serious health problems like:
❗ Weight loss
❗ Vomiting or diarrhea
❗ Coughing
❗ Low energy
❗ Damage to the heart, lungs, and intestines

The best protection is prevention! ✅
Year-round parasite prevention and regular veterinary checkups can help keep your furry family members healthy, happy, and worm-free.

And remember — some worms can even be passed to people, especially children, so protecting your pets also helps protect your family. ❤️

If you’re unsure whether your pet is protected, give us a call! We’re here to help find the best prevention plan for your pet’s lifestyle. 🩺✨

Many people notice this in their own lives, and research is increasingly supporting the idea.
Several long-term studies suggest that children who grow up around dogs or cats often develop stronger empathy, better emotional awareness, and improved social skills. The reasoning is fairly straightforward: living with an animal creates daily opportunities to practice care, patience, and attention to nonverbal communication. Since pets don’t use words to express themselves, children naturally learn to interpret body language, tone, and behavior more carefully.
It’s not a guaranteed effect, and it doesn’t mean every child with a pet will automatically become more empathetic. Factors like parenting style, home environment, and individual personality still play a major role. But the consistent routines of caring for a pet—feeding them, respecting their space, noticing when something feels off—can quietly shape how a child understands responsibility and compassion.
In that sense, pets can act like a simple but powerful training ground for emotional learning in everyday life.
If you grew up with a pet, what’s one lesson it left you with?

The difference between a rat and a mouse is bigger than most people think. 🐀

Although Rats and Mouses are both rodents, they differ in size, appearance, and behavior. Scientists in the United States and worldwide study these animals because of their adaptability and intelligence. 🐀🐁

RAT
• Larger body, usually 300–500 g
• Thicker and longer tail
• Smaller ears relative to head size
• Blunter snout
• Generally more capable of complex problem-solving and learning

MOUSE
• Smaller body, usually 20–30 g
• Thin tail relative to body size
• Larger ears compared to head
• More pointed snout
• Faster, lighter, and more agile

BOTH
• Belong to the rodent family
• Teeth never stop growing
• Gnaw constantly to wear down their teeth naturally

While rats are often considered more intelligent in laboratory testing, both species are highly adaptable and capable animals. 🧠
