A Statement to Our Equestrian Community
We are aware that allegations regarding the care and treatment of horses at our facility have recently been circulated within the equine community. Because the welfare of the horses entrusted to us is our highest priority, we take any allegation concerning their care very seriously.
These allegations were reported to a Geauga County Police Department and were thoroughly investigated by the Geauga County Humane Society, Humane Investigations Division. The investigation included review of the video and photographic evidence submitted by the complainants, an on-site inspection of our facility by the investigating officer, and interviews and records obtained from our independent veterinary team.
The investigation found no evidence of cruelty or neglect.
For transparency, we are sharing the investigative summary with this statement so that our clients, friends, and members of the equestrian community can review the findings directly.
We understand that the allegations originated following a dispute with a former boarder after that individual left our facility. While we are disappointed that unfounded accusations have been circulated, we do not intend to engage in personal attacks or speculation. Instead, we believe the appropriate response is to rely on the facts and the conclusions of the independent investigation.
Caring for horses is an enormous responsibility and one that we do not take lightly. Our horses and boarded horses receive attentive daily care, appropriate nutrition, turnout and management, and veterinary care when needed. We are grateful for the professionals who work with us to help ensure the health and well-being of the animals in our care.
We also want to thank our boarders, clients, staff, veterinary professionals, and members of the community who know our facility and have continued to place their trust in us. We will not allow unsupported rumors to distract us from what matters most: providing responsible, compassionate care for every horse entrusted to our facility.
