🐾 Barn Cats Available for Adoption – Just $5! 🐾

Chester County Animal Control hosts Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) clinics to help humanely manage community cat populations. During these clinics, approximately 45 community cats are trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated against rabies, ear-tipped to indicate sterilization, and returned to their original outdoor homes.

Occasionally, caregivers find that their colonies have grown larger than they can manage and ask for help placing some of these cats in new homes.
That’s where our Barn Cat Program comes in!

These hardworking cats are ideal for:
🐭 Barns
🚜 Farms
🏚️ Shops and warehouses
🌾 Acreage and outbuildings
🏡 Any outdoor space needing natural rodent control

For just $5, your new barn cat will already be:
✔️ Spayed or neutered
✔️ Vaccinated against rabies
✔️ Ear-tipped as a sign of sterilization

Barn cats are a low-maintenance, eco-friendly solution for controlling rodents while giving a deserving cat a safe place to call home.

🐾 Employee Spotlight + A Huge Thank You to Honeywell's Marketing Team! 🐾

We want to take a moment to recognize one of our own for helping create an opportunity that gave several Chester County Animal Control dogs a chance to shine in a very unique way.

What started as a completely unplanned opportunity quickly turned into something special, and when approached with the idea, Julie Esrada didn’t hesitate to take on the challenge. Thanks to her willingness to jump in, several of our dogs got a fun day out of the shelter and a chance to be part of something unique!

Special recognition goes to:
🐶 General — our toy-crazed boy who took his assignment VERY seriously and chewed his little heart out on the scanner during testing.

And to our laid-back pups who spent the day relaxing, soaking up fresh air, naps, treats, and time away from the shelter while helping represent rescue dogs in the best way possible.

Experiences like this do more than create fun videos — they give shelter dogs enrichment, socialization, exposure, and a chance to simply enjoy being dogs outside of kennel walls.

We’re incredibly thankful for opportunities like this and proud of employees who are always willing to step outside the routine to create positive experiences for our animals. Whether it’s community events, enrichment opportunities, or unexpected moments like this one, every experience helps showcase the personalities of our dogs and reminds people just how special shelter pets truly are. 🐾💙

And yes… General is absolutely adoptable! 🎉
If you’re looking for a fun-loving, toy-obsessed dog with personality for days, General may just be your perfect match. Apparently, he already has product testing experience on his résumé. 😂🐶

Because of YOU, our TREAT partnership continues to grow in an incredible way! 💙 We are now up to:
• 56 Deeplink Users
• 693 TREAT Users Connected to Our Shelter

So what’s the difference?

🔗 Deeplink Users are supporters who downloaded the TREAT app directly using Chester County Animal Control’s unique link. These users helped unlock our shelter’s increased visibility inside the app. We need this usage to grow to 150 or above.

🐶 TREAT Users are the growing number of people now discovering and supporting our shelter organically after we became visible to the larger TREAT community.

Every download, every game played, and every person who joins through our link helps generate real food, treats, supplies, and exposure for the animals in our care.
