The Pet Shop has been a local spot for many years, and though we've moved several times, our wonderful, loyal customers have followed. We are glad to serve the shore as Kent Island's local alternative to big-name pet chains, and proud to say we give better care and have more information than other pet stores. Recently, we've started delivering and providing a small pet-sitting service! We will onl

y deliver locally, and delivery is FREE on orders of $40 or more (a $3 charge will be applied to any order under $40).

Queen Anne's County Government is aware of recent allegations that have been shared on social media regarding operations at our Animal Services Division by a former employee. While the county has been provided no information that the allegations are meritorious, the Maryland State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners is conducting an investigation, the County welcomes the investigation, and the County is cooperating fully. The County takes any concerns regarding the care and welfare of animals, the safety of employees and volunteers, and the trust of our residents very seriously.

While we recognize the public interest in this matter, it would be inappropriate to comment while this review is underway. We are committed to conducting a thorough and objective assessment of the information that has been presented.

Queen Anne's County Animal Services has a longstanding mission of providing compassionate care for animals and serving the community. The County remains committed to maintaining high standards of animal welfare, professionalism, and accountability.

✅ Dogs, cats, and ferrets only
✅ Must be at least 12 weeks old

Pets must be leashed or in a secure carrier. Aggressive dogs must be muzzled. 💉 Pets with valid rabies records are eligible for a 3-year vaccine—all others will receive a 1-year vaccine.
