Congratulations to owner Katrina Fleener of Legendary Farms and Handler and Breeder, Kenny and Missy Webb of Litl Rasscals on the award of Grand Champion Jennet at Nationals today. Litl Rasscals Southern Belle did what she was bred to do in style ! We miss her but we knew she was destined to be a show girl and Katrina would make it happen. We are so very lucky to still have many Legendary and Litl Rasscals donkeys on the farm. Also congratulations to our friends Jenny and Bill Davis on Best of Breed with Rolling D’s Victory ! Way to go ya’ll

Baby, Charity and Lovey all had surgery to remove cancer. Even though 100% of the proceeds from Cypress Farm Registered Miniature Donkeys is designated to support our rescue, is not nearly enough ! We rely on donors like YOU

While 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗱 is perhaps the most commonly used term for a group of donkeys, did you know these other names? 💭

Bonus points if you can tell us the collective terms for mules - check the comments 👇

Did you know that donkeys, valued for their strength and resilience, have been used in agriculture for over 6,000 years? Their ability to thrive on low-nutrient food and minimal water made them particularly valuable in arid environments, characteristics that are still valued today.

Sweet Alice wants to encourage everyone to become a purple heart member by caring for a rescue donkey. By sponsoring one of the rescue donkeys at Purple Donkey Human Rescue you can give a gift of support to celebrate a friend or family member. Or put together a group of coworkers or a team of friends. Certain sponsorship levels include a private tour of the farm and a meet and greet with Alice and her friends. Virtual adoption is easy. Check out our website today purpledonkey.org

🫏🍼 Did You Know? A donkey's gestation period is around 11 to 14 months—longer than a horse! This long wait is why many BLM burro adopters may not realize their jennys are pregnant, leading to the sweetest of surprises: a baby burro! Long wait, long ears, totally worth it! 💕

With spring in full swing, it's the perfect time to celebrate all things foal-related, so stay tuned for more adorable and educational baby content from BRAY!
