Yeti is a 2 years old Bernadoodle boy who just completed a multi - week training program so he can be the best boy.

He is fully vetted: vaccines, preventatives, microchip, and neuter!

Yeti is looking for a home with some space for him to be able to work off excess energy. As Yeti is a big boy, kids over the age of 8 are preferred. Cats are unknown. He has spent time with another dog and did well.

This playful happy boy is looking for his next adventure buddies!

Update #3: our most precious girl has been discharged from the emergency hospital and has made her way to medical boarding until we can get her to join us.

She has a voracious appetite and has just shown nothing but the most sweet and loving behavior towards everyone she meets.

She even tried to help the ladies do their filing this morning.

As expected her bill for intensive care and surgery did reach the higher end of our estimate, which did not surprise us because her surgery was much more extensive than originally thought.

But, this girl is worth every penny.

Update #2; Laci has had her surgery. The damage and necrotic tissue was far worse than the surgeon anticipated. The repair has been completed. Luckily, she is not septic, by some miracle. She is, however, positive for both lyme and anaplasmosis due to the tick infestation. She is beginning treatment for that as well.

Laci is recovering in ICU and will be transferred to our regular vet partner tomorrow to continue healing. Her initial estimate is attached . We thank you for all your thoughts for her recovery and especially the generous donations to help offset her unexpected vet bills.

Update: Laci has been admitted to intensive care to have an emergency spay surgery this evening to remove her pr*****ed uterus

Sadly, she’s been in this condition for quite some time and blood work is being run to rule out sepsis. She is reported to be very sweet even in this poor condition and we are hoping she makes a full recovery.

Her current estimate is $2200-$3200. We will include the physical copy of our estimate once we receive it and update once surgery has been completed. 

It’s not often that we are rendered sp*echless. We have seen endless cruelty, endless neglect, abandonment, starvation, everything under the sun.

This sweet girl is on her way to emergency surgery for a horrific and severe prolapse as we speak. We have no idea how long she’s been like this. How long she’s been laying in the dirt in this condition, but we could not let her suffer.

Do we have the funds for this? Of course not. Can we say no to this dog? Absolutely not.

We are asking for your help plain and simple. There are no magical special words. There are no cute phrases. There are no new catchy tunes. This is the reality of Rescue.

We don’t even know if this poor dog has a name. But, if she survives, she will get one.

We are asking for your help. But, what we are asking for is monetary donations: that is the long and short of it.

We will obviously update when she makes it to the emergency vet, which is over two hours away.

This is the reality of what dogs face in the rural areas of this country. We will not abandon her, we will do everything we can to save her.

Well, it’s been a while since our northern nut has found a husky to bring into the rescue

Captain found himself on the timestamp list due to length of stay. We are deeply grateful for our Foster who stepped up to save this boy’s life and he is heading home to Foster as we speak.

What we know about Captain is he is a typical Husky, a little nutty, a little goofy, a little silly and a lot of sweetness and loving.

First order of business is to find a proper name for this distinguished gentleman.

And when we say distinguished, we mean his looks only because we really think that he may have 1/2 of brain cell rattling around in that head of this. But he sure has the looks.

Stay tuned for updates on this goofball. 

By saving this dog from the shelter, it really saves two lives. Obviously Captain is safe, but that opens up his kennel for another dog in need.

We are adding the fundraiser button. Sadly, the Foster has discovered a rather large mass on the side of Captain that was apparently missed during his Vet exams in the shelter. After he settles in for a few days we will get him to our Vet to find out what is going on with this mass. Which really hope it’s benign.

🐶🐶Adopt Ginger🐶🐶

Ginger has a sad tale to tell. She spent her entire life with her mama who had to go into an assisted living facility and sadly no one was able to take her in. So Ginger was surrendered to us.

This precious little 12 pound Lhasa is nine years old and as mentioned spent her entire life with only her mama.

We are looking for a home for Ginger that is quiet and we prefer she be the only dog because she truly deserves to live out her life as a queen of her castle. She has never lived with other dogs and is having difficulty adjusting to other dogs in her foster home.

Ginger would thrive with an older couple in a quiet home. She would be ideal for apartment living or condo living. Ginger’s whole life was spent using p*e pads and she is learning quickly to potty outside. We are so proud of her success and her progress that she is making.
Ginger does not enjoy being in a crate and is quite vocal
about her displeasure. She simply loves being with her person .

Ginger prefers to be in your lap or in your bed. She is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on all her vaccines and truly deserves her forever home where she can shower you with cuddles and keep your lap warm.

Stories like Ginger always make us so sad, but she has rallied and has adjusted to her new environment and surroundings and we just want what’s best for her to honor her mama. We owe that to her.

Pat is a roughly 9 month old chihuahua mix boy. He came to us from West Virginia. Him and his brother were surrendered by an owner who simply couldn’t get rid of them fast enough.
When they arrived it was clear they had not received any socialization or affection in their short lives. These boys were absolutely terrified.

Since arriving they have been fully vetted including vaccines, preventatives, microchipping, and neutering.

Pat is crate trained. He knows to go in his “house” and sleeps there throughout the night and eats his dinner in there happily.

Pat has lived with other dogs and does well. He loves his humans and is very affectionate. He’s bouncy and loves to play but his favorite thing is cuddling on your lap.

We have so much to say about this amazing dog and the absolute torture he endured before joining us
Prince was found chained in a yard with quite a few other huskies who were in various stages of starvation and or death. Prince was one of the lucky ones who was a mere 34 pounds when he was saved, we are not quite sure how he survived, but he has grown into a stunning boy.
Not only did Prince have to endure the beginning years of his life living in squalor and watching his yard mates die in front of him he thought he finally had his lucky day at freedom. But, for reasons we can’t quite comprehend, this most deserving boy was left on transport by his original rescue. Of course we stepped in and took him because that’s what true rescue does.
Prince has been with his foster family for quite a while, as he was so shut down and so traumatized by what he had experienced it has taken him a little bit longer than most dogs to learn to trust again.
Prince remains a bit aloof and quite honestly we can’t blame him.
He is neutered, he is micro chipped, up-to-date on his vaccines and he’s finally ready for his happy ever ever after.

“ If you’re looking for a dog that’s more like a roommate you don’t get along with and doesn’t pay rent, have I got the guy for you! Prince is not interested in being friends with you. He’d like you to provide him with food, water, dog friends, and a space to run around. Other than that, you can p**s off. Some of his favorite things to do are breaking out of crates, stealing loaves of bread off the counter, yelling at you to pet him then as you reach to do that running away, and playing with other dogs.
Prince LOVES other dogs. You, not so much. You will love Prince and he will barely tolerate you. Once every Hailey’s Comet or so, he’ll let you pet him for roughly 12 seconds. Savor those seconds as they may be the only ones you ever get. He will come very close to you to accommodate your paying of the cheese tax, but he just takes it and goes, no small talk. As I’m sure you’ve figured out by now, Prince is a super cool dude, very handsome, above the fray, a bit aloof and an absolute delight. His antics are very entertaining and quite endearing.
