These early appointments include a thorough physical exam, weight check, age-appropriate vaccines and deworming, and a discussion about nutrition and parasite prevention. Scheduling your puppy's first visit is the best ways to help them get off to a healthy start.

Heat Wave 🌡☀

Extreme heat can quickly become dangerous for pets. With the upcoming heat wave, it is important to take extra precautions to help keep them safe and comfortable.

☀️Always provide access to fresh, cool water.
☀️Keep pets indoors or in shaded, well-ventilated areas during the hottest parts of the day.
☀️Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are lower.
☀️Avoid hot pavement, which can burn paw pads. If it's too hot for your hand, it's too hot for their paws.
☀️Never leave a pet unattended in a parked vehicle, even with the windows cracked.

Know the signs of heatstroke, which may include excessive panting, drooling, bright red gums, weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, confusion, or collapse. Heatstroke is a medical emergency. If you suspect your pet is overheating, contact your veterinarian immediately.
