Last week, we shared that our shelter refrigerator had finally given up after years of faithful service.
As always, this community showed up.
A huge thank you to Rob Nicholson and East Coast Appliance for donating a replacement refrigerator for our shelter. Not only did Rob answer the call for help, he went above and beyond by also providing an updated washer and dryer for our clinic.
When we make posts asking for support, we're often focused on an immediate need. What we don't always get to show is the incredible response that follows. Time and time again, our community reminds us that we are not doing this work alone.
And to everyone who shared, donated, tagged a friend, or helped spread the word: thank you. We are grateful for all of you.
P.S. - This week's "in-kind donation need of the week" is toilet paper. Unlike refrigerators, toilet paper has an alarmingly high turnover rate and absolutely refuses to stick around long-term. Donations can be dropped off at either or shelter or clinic location, or shipped directly via Amazon.
