Let's talk about Henry.
Henry is a one-year-old yellow Lab with the energy of approximately 10 Labs. And before you picture a chunky, couch-potato Lab who spends his days snoozing on the sofa, meet a field lab. This boy has places to go, things to learn, and a whole lot of energy to put to good use.
The good news? Henry is eager to please and has all the makings of an awesome dog. He just needs someone who understands the breed and is willing to invest in his foundation. Think continued training, plenty of exercise, and helping him learn how to channel his size, brainpower, and stamina into good things.
Henry loves other dogs, has a healthy respect for cats, and could do well in a home with older kids. He's still working on remembering that people aren't hurdles to run into or launch himself onto, so a little extra room and patience will go a long way. His previous owner reported that he was crate trained, and we're working with him here on practicing his quiet-in-the-kennel skills, too.
Henry isn't a finished product, but that's part of the fun. With the right person willing to put in the work, we think he's going to be one incredible dog.
