Our local veterinary community is a close-knit one. We work in different hospitals, but we share the same patients, lean on one another, learn from one another, and care deeply about the people doing this work alongside us.

A loss like this is felt throughout all of us.

Wednesday night, we learned about the heartbreaking passing of one of our own. Since then, we’ve just been trying to show up—for our patients, and for each other

Emergency vet med has a way of making coworkers family. You spend holidays, weekends, crazy cases, heartbreaking moments, way too much caffeine, and so much of your life together. And when you lose one of your own, you feel it everywhere.

To our community—thank you. Thank you for crying with us, feeding us, checking on us, sending love, and sharing your memories of our girl. We have felt every bit of it.

She would have turned 33 today. 💔

So today we’re raising a Red Bull in her honor. We promise to keep talking about her, laughing about the things only she would do, like talking about Mt. Everest.

Happy Birthday, we miss you. 🎂🎉

Those floppy ears are adorable… but they need some extra attention, too! 🐶👂

Regular ear cleaning can help remove built-up wax, dirt, and moisture and may help prevent irritation and ear infections. This is especially important for pups with floppy ears, which can trap more moisture and debris.

If you notice redness, odor, excessive scratching, discharge, or signs of discomfort, it’s a good idea to have your pet’s ears checked by a veterinary professional. Ear infections are one of the conditions our team at Unleashed Veterinary Care can help treat.
