Husky Alert: Professional Good Boy Needs New Staff (a.k.a. Family)

Meet this very distinguished gentleman — a 9-year-old neutered male husky with a heart of gold and just the right amount of dramatic flair (he is a husky, after all).

Due to his human moving overseas, he’s now accepting applications for a new home where he can continue his full-time job of being sweet, loyal, and occasionally singing you the song of his people. 🎤🐾

✔️ Expert in couch companionship
✔️ Enjoys leisurely strolls and judging squirrels from a distance
✔️ 100% certified good boy
✔️ Will love you unconditionally (and possibly talk back… respectfully)

He’s past the puppy chaos phase but still has plenty of love, personality, and husky charm to give. Think: all the fluff, none of the nonsense.

Let’s find this sweet guy the soft landing he deserves. ❤️
Call or message the practice at 757-482-9410 with your your name and phone number or to arrange meet your new best friend!

❄️ Closed for the Day ❄️

We are closed today, but don’t worry—we’ll be reopening tomorrow and ready to continue caring for our clients and patients as usual! 🐾

A huge thank you to one of our amazing LVTs Sean who, for the second time in a row, shared a snowy 4Runner moment while heading out after making sure all of our boarders—and our beloved house cat, Mewmew—are warm, happy, and well fed. 💙🐶🐱

We’re so grateful for a team that goes the extra mile, no matter the weather. Stay warm and safe out there! ☃️🚙

Our office will be closed from 1:00–2:00 PM for staff training as we continue to better serve our clients, patients, and community. During this time, we won’t be able to answer calls, but you’re welcome to leave a voicemail or text us at 757-482-9410 for non-urgent needs. 🐾🙂

To everyone in the veterinary field, every animal lover, every parent, and anyone who knows what it’s like to care for others — pets, children, or anyone you love — even at the expense of your own well-being: Taylor needs us right now.

She has always shown up for our patients with compassion, steadiness, and genuine love. She’s one of those special people for whom this work is truly a calling. Now, after an incredibly difficult 24 hours, Taylor is safe and receiving care — and we have the chance to show up for her.

A support fund has been created to help Taylor and her family recover, regain stability, and move toward a place where she can return to the work and purpose she loves so deeply.

Thank you for helping to lift up one of our own!

We are relieved to share that Taylor has been found alive and is now receiving medical care! We are deeply grateful to the community members and first responders who helped in the search.

Thank you for your concern, compassion, and support.

Our hearts are heavy as we share that our team member and friend, Taylor Conard, has been reported missing by the Virginia Beach Police Department. Taylor has been a steady and compassionate part of our hospital for many years. So many pets—and the families who love them—have been touched by her gentle care and her unwavering dedication.

We are deeply worried and hoping for her safe return. Please keep Taylor and her loved ones in your thoughts, and join us in holding space for hope.

If you have any information that could help, please contact VBPD Missing Persons at (757) 385-4101 or the non-emergency line at (757) 385-5000.

Out of respect for Taylor and the investigation, we aren’t able to share additional details at this time. We appreciate your kindness, patience, and support for our team during this difficult moment.

🎉 It’s officially Veterinary Technician Week! 🎉

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs) and students who make Centerville Animal Hospital the caring, skilled, and compassionate place it is every single day. 💙

Our licensed technicians do everything — from monitoring anesthesia, running lab work, and filling prescriptions to comforting nervous pets (and humans 😉). Their knowledge, dedication, and love for animals are what keep our patients healthy and our team strong. 🐾

Over the next few days, we’ll be highlighting some of the many areas our LVTs shine — from surgery to client education to pharmacy and more.

So stay tuned, show them some love in the comments, and help us give a huge THANK YOU to our amazing technician team. 💪
