This has been moved to Sunday, October 18th at 1pm! Hope to see some of you there!

Puppy families!

Come out for a fun socialization session with a local trainer friend of mine (Elizabeth with Soulful Strut) this Sunday!

I’ll be there with Cuda - it’s a great opportunity for training / socializing!

A little update on one of our favorite boys who was also a crowd favorite amongst everyone who came to visit the pups (dark blue collar) - now know as “Skeeter”🦟 aka Dixie Creek’s Buzzin’ Around Blackwater! 💙

If we were keeping a male back from this litter, it would’ve been him. There was just something about this boy from the very beginning. But, our hearts were set on keeping a female, and we ultimately decided we didn’t want to keep back two puppies from the same litter again this time.

So instead, Skeeter has headed off to his co-home with family where we get to closely watch him grow, develop, and see how far he can go as a sport / working / therapy dog.

Our plans for this guy are pretty exciting. We hope to title him in various venues and plan to have him follow in Dixie’s foot steps as a therapy dog, giving him opportunities to show off all the things we love about him - his drive, trainability, and overall temperament.

And, if he continues to develop the way we’re hoping, our plans are to complete all of his health clearances and potentially add him to our program as a Dixie Creek Retrievers stud dog down the road 🤞

Of course, there’s a lot of growing, training, and proving himself to do between now and then, but we’re excited to get to watch him grow.

Keep an eye on this handsome guy… we have a feeling he’s going to be something special 💙

Puppy families - I’ve had a lot of interest in hosting a reunion for the Dixie x Scout babies. Who would be interested? It’d be a great opportunity to get the pups together and everyone can meet the other families ♥️ I’d be looking to do it in the next two months, when would be ideal timing for everyone? Feel free to comment on this post or shoot me a text!!
