DOCTORS:
-Dr. Dana Kent and her husband, Dr. Scott Sears graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. Both entered into small animal practice following vet school. Over the years, Dr. Sears found that he enjoyed the fast-paced world of emergency veterinary medicine, while Dr. Kent preferred to be the "family practice" veterinarian. After 9 years in different
practices, Dominion Veterinary Hospital was born, officially opening in June 2000. Both doctors wanted to create a practice that was more than just a business, but one that created an extended family. Over the years, the mesh of Dr. Kent working full-time and Dr. Sears working part-time, along with a dedicated staff, we have been able to achieve our goal. To create a practice where quality veterinary medicine and surgery are performed along with a friendly, relaxed, and professional manner towards our clients. -The staff at Dominion Vet may very in age and experience, but they all are here to serve our clients and our patients. Working in a veterinary hospital takes on many different roles. They are receptionists, assistants, animal caretakers, cleanup crews, a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. Typically before you have reached the doctor, you have been greeted by the receptionist and attended to by an assistant. These people help to create the first impression and to set the 'tone' for one's visit.
