This is a prime example of what microchipping your pet can do.
Yesterday, we had a Good Samaritan bring in a frenchie she had found. She posted on Facebook but didn’t post pictures for obvious reasons. When we scanned her, we got a number. After some searching and calls we got the information of the owner and reached out. This baby was stolen almost 3 years ago from Michigan! The owner now living in a completely different state never stopped updating the chip information so we were able to reach out. She traveled 7 hours overnight to come pick up her baby! Usually we don’t keep lost dogs but this was a different kind of situation. She was reunited with her family this morning and is heading back to her home out of Ohio. What a blessing it was to be part of this reunion.
If you find a dog or cat please please please take it to get scanned for a microchip. If they only scan the back of the pet have them scan the entire body and legs. 1 in 10,000 microchips can migrate, I myself had one chip travel to the front leg of my own dog so we know to scan the entire pet.

We are starting to use a new system this week so please be patient with us as we work through learning all the ins and outs to better serve our patients. We understand waiting a little longer is not ideal and could be frustrating but please know we are trying to make this transition as smooth as possible. Thank you all for understanding 🫶🏼🐾
