Would anyone be interested in a young Male German shepherd? This is a dog that will require an experienced handler or someone who is willing to participate in extensive, but free training. This dog is at high risk for euthanasia but he is very young and I am working alongside other organizations and people to try and make something work for this dog so he isn’t euthanized for behavior. This dog is very young, and has had a very unfair and inconsistent history, causing him to be very insecure and distrustful of strangers. However, once he trusts you, he is through and through a typical shepherd who just wants to please. This dog does have multiple bites on his record due to negligence and ignorance of owners who ignored shelter staff advice and recommendations. If we can find a permanent adopter willing to work alongside myself during a free of charge 4 week board and train, we can save him. But I can’t pull this dog without a potential adopter lined up.
