Paws for Life Paws for Life is a 501c3 non-profit dog rescue in Chesapeake City, MD. Please call us to see our dogs

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and are current on their vaccinations, so they are ready to go! Adoption fees are $150 to $250 to help offset our veterinary and kennel expenses. As a 501(c)3 tax exempt charitable organization, any and all donations are tax deductible, very welcome, and greatly appreciated. Newman is a handsome two-year-old Doodle with a big personality, an even bigger heart, and endless potential! He’s great with other dogs and kids and rides wonderfully in the car, making him the perfect companion for all of life’s adventures.

This intelligent boy is full of energy and is looking for an active family that can keep both his mind and body busy. Whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, learning new tricks, or tackling puzzle toys, Newman is happiest when he has a job to do. He’s incredibly smart, eager to please, and loves to learn, making him an excellent candidate for continued training.

Newman does need a little guidance when it comes to cats, so a home committed to helping him continue his training would be ideal. With consistency, patience, and plenty of positive reinforcement, this bright boy is sure to thrive.

June is an adorable two-year-old Shih Tzu with the sweetest heart and a personality that’s impossible not to fall in love with! She’s wonderful with other dogs, cats, and kids.

This precious girl lives for love and attention. She’ll happily climb into your lap for cuddles, shower you with endless kisses, and soak up every pet she can get. One of her cutest tricks is standing up on her hind legs to give you an adorable little wave that will melt your heart every single time!

Johnny’s favorite place in the world is curled up in your lap, soaking up all the love and attention he can get. When he’s not cuddling, he’s full of fun and always ready to make you smile with his happy, playful personality. Khaki & Jay are ready to find their forever families! ( these dogs are not a bonded pair)

While Khaki and Jay do not need to be adopted together, they both share one thing in common—they’re incredible dogs who have been waiting far too long for a place to call home.

These young pups are everything you could ask for. They’re wonderful with other dogs, cats, and children, making them an easy fit for almost any family. They are active, eager to learn, and truly just want to make their people happy. Their sweet, friendly personalities light up every room they walk into.

As much love as we pour into them every day, a kennel is no place for young dogs to grow up. They deserve their own personal backyards to run in, couches to nap on, and families to love them for the rest of their lives.

Please help us find Khaki and Jay the forever homes they’ve been waiting so patiently for. They don’t need to go together—they just each need someone willing to give them the chance they deserve. ❤️
