Another Sporting Group 1 for Havana!

She earned another Beginner Puppy 4–6 Month Sporting Group 1 win today at the Rockford-Freeport Kennel Club!

I’m so proud of how she handled herself in the ring. She took everything in stride and showed so much confidence for such a young puppy. What a great first weekend out!

Today was Havana’s very first time in the show ring at the Rockford-Freeport Kennel Club, competing in Beginner Puppy 4–6 Months.

And this little girl went on to win beginner puppy Sporting Group 1! 🏆🥇❤️

So proud of how she handled her first show experience. She walked into that ring like she belonged there!

Training 101 | Havana: Heel Position & "Get Back" ✨🐾

Teaching Havana how to swing around and set up on my left side! Getting into position is the foundation of a solid, controlled heel.

✨ This week's commands:
Get back – Coming into position, seated and focused, ready to heel
Around – Swinging behind me to set up on my left side

Our little keeper girl is growing into quite the young lady. She’s smart, confident, eager to learn, and has such a sweet, easygoing temperament.

We’re putting in the time now—training, socializing, and giving her the foundation she’ll need for whatever the future holds. 🐾

Look at this handsome little guy! Tucker recently took his very first boat trip.
It makes us so happy to see one of our Royal Vizslas puppies growing up, enjoying new adventures, and being so loved by his family.
From a tiny puppy to a happy little adventurer in his forever home — Tucker is certainly living his best life!

Havana is such a smart puppy! She’s absolutely adorable, but her brains are just as impressive.

At only 13 weeks old, Havana already knows:
✨ Sit
✨ Down
✨ Come
✨ Good leash manners
✨ The beginnings of a heel
✨ Figure eights — currently working on them
✨ Place - her bed
✨ Crate - goes into the crate when told

And we’re currently working on her stay command!

I truly believe in starting training early, keeping sessions short, just 5–10 minutes and making everything positive and fun. It’s not about long training sessions—it’s about consistency, patience, and making learning enjoyable.

Havana is starting puppy class this week, and I can’t wait to have fun with her! Puppy class is such a great opportunity for exposure to different dogs, people, sights, sounds, and new environments while continuing to build confidence and good manners.

She’s one smart little girl, and I’m so excited to see how she continues to grow! ❤️🐾
