🎃🐾 A little Halloween throwback from a very special SJCC kitty… 🐾🎃

If you’ve been part of the South Jersey Cat Clinic family for a while, you probably remember Rock Lobster, our very first house cat. ❤️

Rock Lobster crossed the rainbow bridge🌈 🌉 in November 2024, but anyone who knew him knows he left behind a whole lot of personality and even more memories.

And apparently… quite the modeling portfolio. 😂

Whether he was reluctantly becoming a pumpkin 🎃 or transforming into the world’s least enthusiastic bumblebee 🐝, Rock Lobster was always a good sport about our Halloween shenanigans.

With October officially here, we thought there was no better kitty to help us kick off spooky season. 👻

Now we want to see YOUR cats in costume and one lucky kitty to serve as our OCTOBER CAT OF THE MONTH!

Post your favorite photo of your cat dressed up for Halloween in the comments below. 🎃🐈‍⬛

One of our costumed kitties will be chosen as our October Cat of the Month! 🧡

And Rock Lobster, our original SJCC house cat, gets honorary Halloween bragging rights forever. 🐾❤️

Let’s see all those CAT COSTUMES!!!

Please share this post to get Nini safely back home! Thank you 🐾

✈️ Wait… are those airplane ears?!

Nope! That’s just Bryce being a Scottish Fold! 😻

This handsome little guy is only 15 weeks old and is already growing like a w**d! At his first visit with us in July, Bryce weighed just 1.92 lbs. Fast forward a few weeks and he’s now a whopping 5.51 lbs! 💙

Bryce was an absolute CHAMP for his vaccines today and, of course, we couldn’t resist showing off those adorable ears.

🐾 A little Scottish Fold fun fact:

Scottish Folds get their signature folded ears from a genetic mutation that affects cartilage. Kittens are actually born with straight ears, and in kittens who inherit the fold trait, the ears typically begin folding during the first few weeks of life.

That adorable ear shape does come with an important health consideration. The same genetic change that affects their ears can also affect cartilage and bones elsewhere in the body, so regular veterinary exams are especially important as Scottish Folds grow.

For now, Bryce is busy with the important kitten stuff: growing, getting his vaccines, and making everyone at South Jersey Cat Clinic fall in love with him. 🥹💙

Way to go, Bryce! 🐾

🐾🍂 Meet Our September Cat of the Month… BITSY! 🍂🐾

Sometimes you don’t choose the cat… the Cat Distribution System chooses YOU. 🐱❤️

Bitsy first came through our doors at the end of March after surviving the streets of Camden. This tiny little girl had no idea that she had found exactly the family she was meant to find.

Just one month earlier, her new family had said goodbye to their beloved fur baby after a year-long battle with kidney disease. Then along came Bitsy. ❤️ Sometimes they really do seem to find us when we need them most.

At her very first visit with us, Bitsy was an absolute champ for her checkup and first vaccines. Fast forward six months, and we had the pleasure of seeing this little street survivor all grown up last week for her spay and hernia repair!

And let us tell you… Bitsy has developed quite the personality. 😂 She’s got s***k, she’s got attitude, and she definitely knows what she wants. We wouldn’t have her any other way!

From the streets of Camden to a home full of love, Bitsy certainly found where she belongs. 🥹🐾

We are so happy to officially introduce Miss Bitsy as our September Cat of the Month! 🍁🐱❤️

Give our girl some love in the comments!

🐱🩷 Happy International Cat Day! 🩷🐱

As if we needed another excuse to celebrate cats… today is officially their day! 🎉🐾

Around here, we’re lucky enough to spend our days caring for cats of every personality. The snuggly ones, the spicy ones, the talkers, the hiders, the biscuit makers, the treat thieves, and of course the ones who make it VERY clear that coming to see us was not their idea. 😂

They keep us laughing, keep us on our toes, and somehow manage to completely run our homes while convincing us that we’re in charge.

So today we want to celebrate YOUR cats! 🥰

Flood our comments with your favorite picture of your kitty! 📸🐱 Bonus points if it perfectly captures their personality.

Happy International Cat Day to all of our amazing feline patients and the families who love them! 🩷🐾

☀️🐾 August Cat of the Month: Ralphie! 🐾☀️

Sorry we’re a little late introducing our August Cat of the Month… apparently Ralphie has been far too busy soaking up the last days of summer at the beach. 😎🏖️

With the heart shaped shades, pink bandana, and some serious beach attitude, we’d say Ralphie is doing summer exactly right!

We hope all of our South Jersey Cat Clinic families are enjoying these last few weeks of summer, whether you’re squeezing in one more beach day, heading out on vacation, or just enjoying some extra sunshine at home. ☀️🌊

If your summer plans include traveling, don’t forget to make sure your kitty is all set too! Whether they need medications refilled, vaccines updated, paperwork for travel, or a checkup before you head out, we’re here for all of your cat care needs. 🐱🩷

Stay safe, have fun, and enjoy every last bit of summer!

And Ralphie… save us a spot under the umbrella. 😎🏖️
