Way to go, Sweet Fig Farm! 🎉🐴

Huge congratulations to all of our riders this weekend — the hard work, dedication, and growth are showing every time you step into the arena!

✨ Jenna clocked her fastest time yet with a 16.4, and this was only her 4th barrel race with Bobby! The improvement every run has been amazing to watch. This team will be one to look out for!

✨ Hayden earned Most Improved from last Midland. She continues to put in so much determination and hard work with Ringer, who definitely doesn’t make it easy for her — but she keeps showing up and pushing forward!

✨ Tara finished the weekend with a great run and is getting back into a strong routine with Rye!

✨ Prudence had great runs on Ruby, and Fonzi was piloted around beautifully for only their second time out together.

✨ Nory and I are really starting to put the pieces together this year. After some tough luck with a down barrel Friday night, we came back Saturday to make a clean, correct run!

So proud of this team and all the progress being made. The future is looking bright! 💛🐎

✨We had an exceptional weekend! ✨

There were numerous firsts this weekend, including Jenna's first entry with her new horse Bobby, Ari and Hayden's debut in their first-ever race, and Tara's return to the arena after a season-long hiatus, making two great runs. Pru and Ruby are continuing to achieve consistent and clean runs. Nory and I delivered our best run yet, securing a spot in the money.

We are deeply grateful for the supportive family we have established, It truly takes a village, and we are thrilled to be part of this one.

Congratulations to all on a job well done this weekend! This marks a great beginning to the 2026 season! 🎉

✨Cowboy✨

Cowboy is a 16yo 15.3h QH gelding. With his beautiful roan color you don’t want to miss out on this guy !
He’s easy going and gets along with everyone, lives outside 24-7 and is fat on air. This would be a great advanced beginners horse working with a trainer or a trail master. Currently ridden by lesson kids. He does have string halt but it does not affect him. Has lead changes and a natural frame. He does better with a confident rider, no bad behaviors but can get quicker when not worked consistently. Has worked cattle, trail rides, ring work, and introduced to barrel work. Located in Smithfield RI, 6️⃣k get him before spring for a winter deal 👏🏽

CELEBRATE YOUR OWN WINS.

It’s important to run your own race, ride your own class, lope your own warm up and celebrate your own wins. Whether there are 60 or 600 entries, everyone wants to win, but ultimately, everyone has to show up to even be one step closer to winning.

And winning doesn’t look the same for everyone and that is OKAY.

Some days winning is that your horse is sound after months of time off.
Some days winning is that your sick horse perked up and whinnied at you when you walked in the barn.
Some days winning is that you drove yourself to the horse show.
Some days winning is that your horse walked into warm up.
Some days winning is that you left three barrels standing or didn’t go off course.

Rarely ever is “winning” actually WINNING and a lot of wins happen outside of the arena.

Celebrate all of those wins because you worked your tail off and you earned them!

When you treat and rehab a horse for a year and you finally get to haul them to a show, that’s a win, an hard-earned one.

When you finally hit one lead change out of four, that’s a win.

When you make it through the trail course without a DQ, that’s a win.

When your ulcer prone, anxiety ridden SELF, keeps lunch down at the show, that’s a win.

Don’t compare your win to the person who took home the blue ribbon, because you never know, that may be just what they needed to not sell out on their dreams. Congratulate them after you congratulate yourself.

It is so easy to get caught up in the idea of “winning” that we lose sight of our own goals, how far we have come, what we have conquered, and the wins that we let slip by us because they weren’t a declared WIN on paper.

Easier said than done, I know. So in case you haven’t heard it or in case you haven’t told yourself lately,
CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WIN!!! ❤️
