And it’s here…
Today, we send the last one home. ❤️
Our final Freedom baby will meet his family today in Austintown, Ohio.
And this one… this one is going to hurt a little.
Amicus has been with us the longest.
And I have a confession.
Early on, I looked at him and said, “I wouldn’t choose that one. He’s just a little… distant.”
Well.
Apparently Amicus heard me and took that personally. 😂
Because somewhere between Oregon and Ohio, between campgrounds and puppy tents, long miles and middle-of-the-night potty breaks, that boy wiggled his way so deeply into our hearts that I’m not entirely sure how we’re supposed to hand him over today.
He is SUCH a good boy.
And when Amicus looks into your eyes, you don’t just see him looking back.
You feel his heart.
If you have a BnT baby, you probably understand exactly what I mean.
Suzy has it.
Penny has it.
They come from the same bloodlines—Suzy is Penny’s aunt—and there is something in these dogs that I don’t know how to explain.
They love deeply.
Not casually.
Not conveniently.
They love you with their whole damn soul.
And sometimes, if you’re lucky, a dog comes into your life and teaches you how to love again.
They heal places in your heart you didn’t realize were still broken.
They don’t replace the ones we’ve lost. They can’t. And I would never want them to.
But somehow, they make room beside the grief.
And eventually you realize maybe this little soul didn’t arrive by accident.
Maybe they were sent to you for a reason.
That’s one of the reasons I’ve never believed you have to meet your puppy first to know.
Sometimes they’ve chosen you long before you even knew they existed.
But when they go home, the rest belongs to you.
Their training.
Their habits.
Their confidence.
Their trust.
Give them your attention.
Give them patience when they’re tiny dinosaurs with fish teeth and questionable decision-making skills.
Give them your TIME.
And above everything else, give them your love.
Do that, and they will repay you with years of devotion beyond anything you could ever buy.
You will also never p*e alone again, eat a snack unnoticed, or enjoy anything resembling personal space.
It’s a package deal. ❤️
Today, our last baby goes home.
And with that, this chapter of the Freedom Litters closes.
But BnT doesn’t end when the puppies leave our arms.
It just gets bigger.
From here, we’ll start sharing all those beautiful pupdates we’ve been receiving from our previous litters—and Lord knows, we have plenty of them.
The BnT family has grown so much.
And one of the things I am most grateful to be able to say is this:
Not one of our babies has passed.
As far as we know, every BnT baby we’ve placed is still out there, living and loving the family they were meant to find.
That’s an incredible thing to sit with today.
All those puppies we’ve kissed goodbye.
All those families who started as strangers and somehow became part of ours.
All those Boxer hearts scattered across the country, loving their people with everything they’ve got.
And now Amicus joins them.
So today, we’ll hand him to the people he was meant to love.
We’ll smile.
We’ll probably cry.
I’ll kiss that beautiful face one more time and tell him to be a good boy—as though he hasn’t already proven exactly who he is.
And then we’ll watch another piece of our heart walk away.
Because that’s what we do.
We raise them.
We teach them.
We love them fiercely.
And then we trust them to take all that love with them and give it to someone else.
Because it was meant to be.
Welcome home, Amicus.
You were never distant, sweet boy.
You were just waiting for us to learn how to hear your heart. ❤️
And we did.
We love you dearly.

(ps—- That little girl Rossi— she’s going to be a handful! If you look— in the pics where you think “Hey, Mamma T, you got the wrong dog in the pic…”, nope. She’s literally sitting on his head. Pinned his down and he was just laying there. Waiting for his moment. When she relaxed he flipped the tables and the game was back on!)
