Four years of doing what I love!! My clients (both the human kind and the furry kind) make me smile and laugh daily. Thank you guys so much for the support, trust, and constant encouragement. I’m forever grateful for this community. And thank you to the pups who put up with my weirdness- the singing, dancing, and snuggles are a mandatory part of the process 🧼🐶

Extra special thanks to my mom; her behind-the-scenes management is so appreciated, and her support is even more precious to me. Erika Fitzgerald has not only been a huge help with the business aspects of APS, but she’s also been my inspiration since day one. Mom’s kindness, determination, and love has shaped how I move through this world, and I’m beyond thankful for her guidance. Be sure to tell her how incredible she is next time you see her. Love you to the moon and back and beyond, mom.💚

Celebrating Titus’s life this week💚 It’s been a year since his passing and our boy is missed every single day.

Here’s a poem that I love by Billy Collins.

From the perspective of a dog, we’re reminded that a pet’s life is brief compared to ours; a thought that probably crosses many pet owners’ minds often. Despite the sadness I feel when this fact is brought to mind, I try to remember why it’s so important. This poem is a reminder to not take our pets for granted. A reminder to play with them often. A reminder to love our pets always and cherish every moment with them.

How lucky are we that these souls love us with their whole being during their too-short time on earth?

Our Employee of the Month will be staying behind to keep an eye on the salon while I’m out. Unfortunately, Aspen lacks opposable thumbs and therefore has a hard time answering calls. She asks that you leave a voicemail or message, and that you send yummy treats her way. I’ll reach out as soon as I’m back in the shop. I appreciate you guys!!💚

Happy 15th birthday to our sweet girl! 🎉

Aspen has been a constant best-friend in my life since I was seven years old- she’s always ready to give unconditional love, snuggles, and a reason to smile. She’s been with me through all stages of life. From being that annoying kid that dressed her up in doll clothes, to a teen who took her on car rides with too-loud music, to owning a business named after her, Aspen has been there for all of it. It feels like just yesterday that she was herding my 10yr old friends and I into a corner in our backyard🥹🤣 Aspen makes us laugh everyday and has given us countless memories and stories to tell. We’ll continue to celebrate every moment with her- she deserves it.

Because of Aspen’s ~advanced~ age, she has earned the right to:
– Nap whenever, and wherever
– Demand a treat for simply existing
– Forget why she was barking
– Retire from tug-of-war and become her fur-sibling’s play time supervisor
– Pretend she can’t hear us… unless a treat is involved

Happiest of birthdays to our forever employee of the month, our treat-tester, and our favorite furry senior citizen🐶💚

🎶 If she doesn’t scare you, no evil thing will 🎶

My personal pup, Judy, got a makeover this weekend! This Cruella de Vil inspired groom was so much fun to do, and I’m obsessed with how it turned out. We did this in three sessions; first the black split dye on her head and tail, then the red on her legs and the black spots, and finally the haircut. No puppies were turned into coats in the making of this- just Judy being pampered and loving the spotlight! ❤️🖤

I know it might sound funny to be excited about a gate, but I’m excited about our new gate! 🤣

APS just had a brand-new gate installed and it’s already been such a nice addition. The gate is here to add another layer of security for all of my doggy guests, as their safety is my top priority. After two years of using a plastic gate, it was definitely time for an upgrade (and what an upgrade we got!!) Not only is it functional, but it’s also so cute🥹 I’m loving the little paw print detail and am so excited to get it painted in our signature salon colors.

New Generation Fencing & Construction created this masterpiece and I am incredibly thankful for their hard work. They went above and beyond- between this gate and a couple other projects, they have been so helpful. They truly cared about the safety, appearance, and functionality when designing this gate, and it fits the needs of my salon perfectly.

Dakota and Max both got a much-needed makeover! 🧼 These two were SO good for their baths and brush outs. They had some pretty extreme matting and impacted coat, but they were champs for this long, intense groom. I’m so excited to see these babies thrive in their future forever home💕
