👂✨ What happens when your pet has an ear infection?

Luna’s mom noticed something wasn’t quite right with her ears, so she brought her in to see us! 🐶

We started with a thorough physical exam, then took a sample from her ear to look at under the microscope. 🔬 This helps us figure out what’s actually causing the infection so we can choose the right treatment.

Then came the less glamorous part… a good ear cleaning! 😅🧼 Followed by the appropriate medication to help those ears feel better.

Ear infections can be uncomfortable (and sometimes VERY itchy!), so if your pet is shaking their head, scratching their ears, or you notice redness, odor, or discharge, it’s worth getting them checked out. ❤️

❤️🐾 Our community is incredible.

Because of your generosity, we've already delivered several carloads of donations to families and pets affected by the wildfires. (I wish I was better at remembering to take pictures 🤦🏻‍♀️)

But the need is still great.

We're continuing to collect:

🐱 Cat food

Every case of water, every bag of pet food, and every donation makes a difference for someone who has lost so much.

Some days in veterinary medicine leave a mark on your heart forever.

Today was one of those days.

Behavioral euthanasia is one of the hardest decisions anyone can face. It is never taken lightly, and it is only considered when an animal’s suffering has reached a place where there are no humane alternatives.

Jayne’s story is one of unimaginable neglect and abuse. She never had the chance to know what safety, trust, or kindness truly felt like until the very end of her life.

We are deeply grateful to Amber with Just Ducky and Friends for fighting so hard for dogs like Jayne and for giving her the dignity, compassion, and love she deserved in her final moments.

Thank you to Dr. and for treating Jayne with such tenderness.

Though we couldn’t change her past, we could make sure she wasn’t alone.

Sometimes veterinary medicine isn’t about saving a life.

Sometimes it’s about ending suffering with love.

☀️ Summer means more adventures with the pets we love—camping trips, hikes, lake days, vacations, and backyard fun.
We hope every adventure ends with happy memories, but sometimes curious noses and unexpected moments lead pets farther from home than anyone planned.

A microchip is a simple, permanent form of identification that greatly improves the chances of being reunited if your pet ever gets lost. Unlike collars and tags, a microchip stays with your pet for life (as long as your contact information stays up to date!).

Meet Dodo 🤍

Dodo came to us through one of the incredible rescues we work with, and despite the challenges she was born with, she is one of the happiest little puppies you could ever meet.

She was born with severely deformed front legs, so we took X-rays to better understand what was happening beneath the surface. One of her front legs is currently free-floating and will require corrective surgery in the next 4–6 weeks.

And yet… none of that has stopped her from being full of love, wiggles, and joy.

We are so grateful she landed with the kind souls at Just Ducky and Friends, where she is being absolutely adored while we make plans for her future care.
