🐾 Meet the newest addition to the Chelsea Animal Hospital family, Dr. Kelsey Gossett! 🐾

Originally from Memphis, TN, Dr. Gossett attended the University of Tennessee for veterinary school and has a special interest in oncology and dermatology. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian? Getting to love on people’s pets all day — we can definitely get behind that! 🥰🐶🐱

At home, Dr. Gossett has a 9-year-old mutt named Jeb who is the sweetest boy! When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll most likely find her spending time with her kids, Rett & Goldie. ❤️

Fun fact about Dr. Gossett… she has attended THREE SEC schools and one university in Spain! 🇺🇸🇪🇸

We’re so excited to have Dr. Gossett with us and can’t wait for you all to get to know her! Help us give her a big Chelsea Animal Hospital welcome! Call now to schedule an appointment with her - both you & your pet will adore her just as much as we do!! 💙🐾

Ensure your pet is up-to-date on their rabies vaccination—accidents can happen anytime! 🐾 Wildlife like bats can easily enter your home through small gaps or attics. Alabama law requires all dogs and cats to be vaccinated against rabies (Code of Alabama § 3-7A-2). Remember, rabies is zoonotic and can transfer to humans. Keep your furry friends and family safe. The incubation period varies from a few days to over a year, but once symptoms appear, rabies is nearly 100% fatal. Protect yourself—if you've been in contact with stray animals or wildlife, contact your healthcare provider immediately. Stay informed and stay safe! 🐾🩺
