Our farm's very own homebred, Ophelia, has had a busy few weeks! 🌸 First she made her dressage debut at the FFYF schooling show, next she passed her Oldenburg inspection, earning a Premium Mare score, and finally (drum roll, please! 🥁) she made her USDF debut at Silverwood - scoring in the 60s for her Intro and 3yo Materiale classes all while handling the big atmosphere like a seasoned pro! ⭐️ This beautiful baby horse has earned herself a well deserved vacation after all the gold stars she's been racking up!!

Another good horse show weekend in the books! We had five horses in two trailers, and two days of nonstop riding and coaching ✨️ Grateful for my team, the horses, and all the people who support us!

It was a BUSY but GREAT weekend with some huge accomplishments for all ... Next up Lamplight, IDCTA Championships, then Regionals in September!

✨️ I am SO thrilled and SO proud to announce that Ophelia has been ACCEPTED into the Oldenburg Registry after receiving a Premium Mare score at her inspection today! ✨️

I cannot thank Ken Borden enough for his continued support, endless knowledge and much appreciated coaching in this journey of producing my first homebred. I couldn't have gotten her to where she is today without him!

It's been quite the summer for me and this special mare, and I'm so excited to see what the future holds for us 🩷

Another huge thanks to my fiance, Tim, for being there for ALL the big moments with Ophelia - including this one!

🎖 Thank you everyone for a great show! 🎖

Our first schooling show this past Sunday was a huge success! We had over a dozen entries in Western Dressage, Dressage, Freestyles, and Combined Training classes. The weather held out and we wrapped up the awards ceremony just before the afternoon heat set in. All the competitors had their game faces on and rode some beautiful tests and jump courses. Our amazing show staff worked hard and stayed diligent to keep the show on schedule!

I wanted to post an extra special thank you to:
- Ken for being such a kind and supportive judge
- My mom for being our secretary who thankfully is much better at math than me
- Tim for being the best ring steward/announcer/office helper/fiance a girl could ever ask for
- Brittany for asking me to join the FFYF Dressage Show Circuit this season and motivating me to host this show at my farm
- Amanda for being our official show photographer
- Kiley and Lydia for being the best friends and best first time volunteer test runners and jump setters
- All the riders/horses/spectators who worked hard and supported each other all day
- Our two first time scribes Paula and Nancy for stepping up and helping last minute
- All the remaining volunteers and helpers who made the day possible!!

🎉 July 26 FFYF at Livin A Dream Farm ride times are posted!! 🎉

We have a beautiful end to the week with weather, and although the temps increase over the weekend, we are proud to say we organized the show to be over before the heat of the day arrives. Come join us for a day of dressage, western dressage, show jumping, AND we may or may not have a couple freestyles competing 👀 ⭐️

The food truck arrives at 10:30am, and special awards will be handed out at the end of the show!

We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday!

🎖 Hang in there everyone! Just one more week until our Summer Dressage/CT Show with the FFYF Circuit! 🎖

(CLOSED) Entries close Monday, so please fill out your entry form and get them to Jes ([email protected]) ASAP!

Saturday July 25th we are offering schooling from 12pm-4pm. Please text Jes if you plan on schooling (815-263-9405). All riders must have helmets while riding, a current negative coggins, and signed liability waiver before they can school or show.

The weather will be making a turn for the better after Monday, so we are looking forward to seeing you all at our show!

- Entries are due July 20th
- Ribbons awarded through 6th place
- Special awards including high point and best dressed
- This show is a qualifier for the FFYF Dressage/CT Championships in September
- Brand new jump field with freshly painted jumps (feel free to school after the show ends! Sign up with Jes at the office for $20)
- A delicious food truck will be on site for lunch
- We have a professional photographer who will capture all rides and fun candids throughout the day
