πŸŽ‰ Congratulations team! πŸŽ‰

We had a great weekend at Lamplight: it was a big and competitive environment, but we all held our own at every level. We had some HIGH scores, qualifying scores for Regionals, some riders newly minted as they progress through the levels, and plenty of great feedback from some tough judges to take home and improve upon!

Also, congratulations to our two riders who competed at the IDCTA FVSA dressage show on Sunday with their wonderful horses to begin the season!

πŸ₯³ A day to celebrate! πŸ₯³

Our big Spring project is complete! A huge thank you to HWE for the amazing excavation work and laying down what felt like a million truck loads of limestone perfectly, and to Ryan at Johnson Livestock Fencing for their hard work in putting up our beautiful new dry-lot pastures out back. I can't say enough great things about both of these companies for being so efficient, professional, and for the beautiful work they have done 🌟

Lady has been working hard - can you spot the differences between the 1st pic and the 2nd pic, and can you tell which one she is carrying herself correctly in? πŸ‘€
..

1 - Sitting and engaging behind, lifting from the back, hanging from the withers, lightness in the shoulder, coming through to the bridle βœ…οΈ

2 - Disengagement behind, hollowing the back, opening the chest, tense/short under neck, disconnecting from the hand ❌️

🐞 Collection is hard for power-house horses like Lady, but she is such a willing and try-hard mare that we are getting great work done to reach our competition goals! This season we are giving it a real go at second level while also beginning our third level journey 🐞
