🎉 It was a good show season! 🎉
.. and Regionals proved that hard work pays off! All three horses that qualified for Championship classes placed in the ribbons after this summer's show season flew by. It wasn't without it's challenges along the way, but each horse and rider gave it their all when it mattered most. I'm so proud of this team!
💚 Kenzo - 6th place (68%) 1st level Championship Open Division (his first ever Regional Championships might I add!)
💜 Lady - 7th place (64%) 2nd level Championship Open Division
💜 Wilson & Marie - 7th place (64%) 2nd level Championship Adult Amateur Division
A special shout out to my mare Lady for giving me 110% every time we enter at "A" - she had a tough summer! After a recurring skin issue and unexplainable stocking up we had her tested for Cushings (PPID) which came back off the charts positive. She was started on her treatment in August and has had the usual symptoms of lethargy and loss of appetite, etc etc. I dialed back her training to focus on her health and we made decisions at multiple shows to scratch tests when she wasn't feeling right to me. Despite this lifestyle change for her, this mare still is the BIGGEST try hard and I am forever grateful that she is mine 🐞 Lady is now enjoying a well deserved break while we get her skin issues sorted and her hormones balanced!
⭐️ Finally, THANK YOU to my riders, my horses, my team, my coach Ken Borden, my fiance/best groom ever Tim, my family/friends who support us and help keep the farm running while I'm away, Kristen Becker for the help in warm ups, our equine bodywork specialists Nicole Watts and Amanda Mink, and of course, to my sponsors Devoucoux and Equine Outfitters for keeping our horses looking and feeling their best! What I do couldn't be done without all of you! ⭐️
