Erik Tripp and his lady Shelby joined me this morning out on the water. At our first setup, Shelby got a big one making it her new personal best. Later, Erik got a good one as well, this one on light tackle. They also caught a mess for a fish fry. Good times!

Parker Wilson joined me on the river for catfish. He got on a nice one right off the bat and we continued to catch fish all morning before it got too hot. I’ve had Parker out every year since I started guiding back in 2019. It was nice to get the trip in right before he starts his second year of college.

Justin Hart brought his dad Mitchell and brother Travis out for a catfish trip. We started off the morning with heavy tackle and put in some really nice cats, including a real big one caught by Mitchell. The light tackle bite was also really good. We had several doubles and caught fish all day. Everyone caught their personal best, which is always an exciting thing to see.

I had first time guests Elier Molina and his buddy Jonny out there with me today. We put some nice quality cats in the boat. Most of ‘em were caught on light tackle, which is my favorite technique to do this time of the year.

Mark Cooper joined me for a full day of catfishing yesterday. We split the trip up into a morning and evening bite. The rain yesterday morning bumped up the current later in the day. That bump gave us a pretty good anchor bite at night. Lots of great quality, including a couple of nice flatheads. We stuck the catfish trifecta, which is always cool to see.
