A big shout out to Hollywood Feed - Hixson for donating and delivering all of this food!!! Just in time for some of our dogs who are on restrictive diets. We really appreciate their kindness. If you haven’t seen their store, go check it out next to Biba‘s and Publix on Hixson pike🐾

Here is Jean-Pierre from 3 Plus You yesterday helping us talk about our upcoming yardsale, event at Chatta-Cakes bakery, and an update on Pixie who just had surgery. He is all smiles and tail wags with everyone he got to meet!

Thank you, Pet Placement Center, for bringing Jean-Pierre to visit us, today. He's an energetic two year old, looking for a loving home.

Today is Ginger Cat Appreciation Day and we have a LOT of kittens and a few cats for you to appreciate! You can meet Ghost Rider, Marbles, tripod Rusty, and siblings Hulu, Zulu, and Socko at the shelter. Checkers and Pinochle (siblings to Marbles) are coming in from their foster home this weekend, and sweet Valencia can be met at Naughty Cat Cafe. So many furballs of sunshine and we love them all!

Meet Carl, this week’s dog of the week! Carl is a 1 year old Great Dane who weighs about 120 pounds. He is a new pal here at PPC and we just love his goofy personality!

Carl is a big ole sweetheart who loves to gives cuddles and kisses. He also is a playful boy who loves playing tug of war or fetch! He does GREAT on a leash according to our volunteers and enjoys going out on adventures!

He just underwent a gastropexy ("stomach tacking") during his neuter to prevent getting bloat since many large breed dogs are prone to this issue. He is healing well and didn't let the surgery slow him down too much.

Since Carl is still so young we are looking for a loving and active family for him. Carl is not the biggest fan of cats so we’re looking for a dog focused family!

The last two weeks have been great adoption weeks for many kittens and even a couple of dogs! Kittens include Cheerios, Keebler, Tostada, Tortilla & Rummy as a pair, Marceline, Manitoba, and Gordita & Canasta as a pair. Other kittens not shown include Jubilee, Sungold, Cherokee, Danica Patrick, Bimini and one adult cat Manatee. We also said farewell to Meeko and long termer Lucinda who had been with us for 229 days. Congratulations to all of the adopters as we know the joy of adding this kind of love to the family!
