Introducing Three More of Our Wonderful Veterinary Technicians! 🐾 We’re so grateful to have Monika, Lori, and Kelsey as part of our SAH family!

Monika, graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin in August 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology. She loves snuggling puppies and kittens and is passionate about providing compassionate care, supporting pets and their owners through life’s happiest and most challenging moments.

Lori, has been part of SAH since 2015 and brings over 15 years of veterinary experience. After five years in emergency medicine, she earned her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology from Chattanooga State in 2012. Since 2021, she has served as our Inventory Manager, helping keep our hospital running smoothly.

Kelsey, developed her passion for animal care while helping on her family’s cattle farm. She graduated from Chattanooga State with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2022 and joined SAH after completing her clinical rotation here. She enjoys hands-on patient care, advocating for animals, and learning about exotic pets, with hopes of working with large animals in the future.

We would like to thank Dentistry and Oral Surgery for Animals Chattanooga for providing valuable dental continuing education in celebration of Veterinary Technician Week! 🦷🐾 Opportunities like this are incredibly important in helping veterinary technicians strengthen their knowledge, refine their skills, and better understand the critical role dental radiography plays in veterinary medicine. High-quality dental radiographs are essential for identifying underlying dental disease, evaluating oral health, and ensuring patients receive the most accurate diagnoses and appropriate treatment. Continuing education allows us to stay current with best practices, improve our diagnostic imaging techniques, and continue growing as veterinary professionals. By investing in education and hands-on learning, we can provide a higher standard of care and make a meaningful difference in the health and well-being of the animals we serve. We’re proud to introduce three wonderful members of our team who share a passion for providing compassionate care to every pet!

Keisha has over five years of experience in the veterinary field and completed her education as a Certified Veterinary Assistant. After moving from Rome to be closer to her daughter, she brought her love for animals to our team. Keisha has a special place in her heart for Chihuahuas and Shih Tzus and enjoys giving every pet the love and care they deserve! 🐾

Trynity has four years of veterinary experience and a lifelong passion for animals. She recently completed the Veterinary Technician Associate of Science program through Penn Foster and is currently studying to obtain her veterinary technician license. She also serves as our Marketing Lead at Shallowford. She loves learning new things, taking adorable patient photos, and creating positive experiences for pets and their families. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dogs: Slinky, Maple, Remi, Jasmine, and Callie.

Wendy has been part of our team since the very beginning! With over 20 years of veterinary experience, she began her career in North Carolina before moving to the Chattanooga area. She loves sharing her knowledge, mentoring teammates, and helping others develop new skills. She is currently working toward completing the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program.

Spotlighting today is Carolina and Becka, both love caring for all our patients that walk through the door.

Carolina is a veterinary assistant who has been part of the SAH family since 2018. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she provides valuable support to our Spanish-speaking clients. She helps manage our social media channels for SAH, organizes and oversees our booth events, and has a keen interest in Marketing. She aspires to work in the veterinary marketing field one day. Carolina enjoys homesteading and cares for a small flock of chickens.

Becka has over 23 years of experience, coming from emergency veterinary medicine and general practice. She has dedicated her career to providing compassionate care to animals in need, specializing in critical care and emergency situations.
