Your Field to Feast ticket does more than reserve a seat, it helps power the work happening at Crabtree Farms throughout the year 🌱.

Field to Feast is a fundraising experience created to sustain and strengthen our community impact. From January through August 2026:

• 532 volunteers and workshare participants contributed 1,541 hours
• 734 pounds of food were redistributed to community partners
• 81 students visited the farm for educational field trips
• 11 community partnerships helped expand opportunities for learning, service, and connection

When you gather with us on October 3, your support reaches far beyond one evening. It helps Crabtree Farms continue growing food, welcoming learners, connecting neighbors, and building a more resilient community.

Later this week, we’ll introduce some of the talented local chefs and partners bringing this special evening to life!

In partnership with Gaining Ground, Crabtree Farms is hosting a three part autumn-inspired food preservation and cooking series “Cultivating Community at Crabtree: Preserving Autumn Harvests”.
For our first class, we will be joined by fermentation specialist Matt Cone to learn all things fermentation! Fermented foods are shown to nourish the gut microbiome, which can support digestion, reduce inflammation, and improve nutrient absorption. Think kimchi, curtido, or sauerkraut!
This is a beginner-level class with no prior experience necessary. Attendees will gain hands-on knowledge about how to safely ferment their food and take home educational materials and a jar of locally-grown veggies to enjoy!

☀️A late-summer tour with Carlos ☀️

For three growing seasons, Carlos has cultivated a parcel of land at Crabtree Farms through our Emerging Farmers land-sharing program.
Among the many treasures in his quarter acre parcel is a squash variety he has grown season after season from seed saved from his family’s land in Guatemala—a living connection to memory and place where he grew up farming.
Framed by sweet corn, beans, flowers, and squash, his plot holds an abundance of sweet and hot peppers, tomatoes, tomatillos, and herbs. We are constantly inspired by his farming knowledge and his kindness and have learned so much from him. The abundant harvest from his plot he shares with his family and church community.
Carlos, we are so grateful to have you growing with us! You are amazing!🌿
🌻And we are grateful to you, the community that supports our mission of sharing and preserving this precious farmland within Chattanooga city limits.
Consider joining us at our Field to Feast fundraiser in October to support our work of building community and shared harvest.🌻
