Lightening giving the YOLO vibe! She’s approx 5 months old and she’s been waiting in a foster for 3 months now- without any serious interest. 😔 Someone recently complained that maybe we are not getting adoptions because of our “high adoption fees” - that’s the most ignorant statement I’ve heard in a long time. Quality care is not cheap and we never come out ahead - the fee does not cover the costs involved for each animal’s basic care. That’s why we are always trying to fundraise.
Our process: Intro, application, home check & If all goes well, a week trial. Adoption fee is 400-600. Spayed/neutered, vaccinated, f***l tested/dewormed, chipped, flea treated, adults get a dental if needed and whatever else is needed at the time of being rescued.
Please share Lightening and the other available animals so we can have space to help more.

***It’s been over 4 weeks without any applications from our Sunday events. We cannot help more dogs until a few get adopted. We appreciate people coming by to say hi but what we really need is for YOU to snap some pics, get some video, share the dogs so they get more exposure. Let’s help them move on to their forever homes so more can be saved.

Approx 2-3yo, extremely sweet, LOVES other dogs, great with people but we ask that you take it slow, he had a rough start to life and he needs to assess you before he decides how he feels about you. That’s fair. We should all be like Knox. Sniff out the situation first.

Some of the many dogs that are available to foster.
What does it mean to foster for us? You provide the space and time (stability, structure and love). We provide all of the necessary supplies (food, flea meds, toys, etc…)
All of these dogs and many others are healthy, friendly and ready for a foster home where they can get more undivided attention, exposure and preparation for the next chapter…A forever home.
You can find our foster application on the website. We require a home visit. We need to meet you and anyone else that lives in the home.

This shmellow of a dog was sitting in the shelter for 55 days without any serious interest. He was listed as “major medical” for URI, visual impairment & injured eye. We had no idea if the eye would need to be removed. Turns out the eye just has an old injury but he’s not uncomfortable. The boy smelled like a big block of stinky cheese. Thank you to Dr. Lockhart and the team at for always being ready to help in an instant.
He’s de-cheesed, neutered, ears treated, got some eye meds and we’re waiting on his f***l test.
So far he’s mellow, good with the dogs he’s met and he loves his foster dad.
This guy is safe because of a committed, experienced foster.
Thankfully his medical needs were not as severe as anticipated but we can always use help with the vet costs and daily costs. Please donate $5 or whatever is convenient to help George and the many others under our care. Anything helps. ❤️‍🩹🐾
