Ever boarded your dog, walked away, and immediately wondered if you made the right choice?
I have.
One of the biggest things that has always bothered me when boarding my own dogs is the amount of space they may actually have while they're there. Many traditional boarding setups rely on smaller, more confined kennel areas. There are certainly facilities that offer larger accommodations, but I've always wanted something different for my own dogs.
Then there's the other option—having someone come into your home. Now you're not only worrying about your dogs, you're also trusting someone with access to your house and everything in it.
That's a big part of why I want to build Blue Shepherd Kennels.
COMING IN THE FUTURE — BLUE SHEPHERD KENNELS
This will be the next phase of our property and my vision for a completely different boarding experience—a luxury-style home away from home where dogs have real space, individual attention, security, and comfort.

• TVs for comfort and familiar background noise

• Larger, secure group exercise and play areas
• Camera monitoring throughout the facility

• A facility designed from the ground up with your dog's safety in mind
I don't want you dropping your dog off and spending your vacation wondering whether they're spending most of their stay confined in a small space.
I want you to leave knowing they have a 10 × 10 room of their own, a comfortable bed, climate control, room to move around, access to their own private run, and opportunities for structured exercise and socialization when appropriate.
My years of hands-on experience with German Shepherds and large, powerful working breeds have also taught me that good care isn't simply feeding a dog and putting them in a kennel.
It's understanding body language, temperament, boundaries, structure, stress, confidence, and personality.
And most importantly, it's understanding that every dog standing in front of you is an individual.
That experience will be at the heart of Blue Shepherd Kennels while allowing us to provide knowledgeable, confident care for dogs of all breeds and sizes.
Some dogs love group play.
Some would rather have their own private space.
Some need more structure, patience, or one-on-one attention.
We're going to care for the dog in front of us—not force every dog into the same routine.
Security won't be an afterthought, either.
Cameras, monitoring, and modern security systems are planned as part of the facility from the beginning because your dog's safety—and your peace of mind—matter.
Above everything else, I want Blue Shepherd Kennels to feel less like you left your dog at a kennel and more like you dropped them off at their second home.
