Morning run with the gang!

No cages here—just space, freedom, and a little bit of chaos.

This morning the pack was in full pursuit mode, chasing the go-kart across the property and having the time of their lives. Watching a pack of German Shepherds stretch their legs and run together never gets old.

Little Violet is doing a great job keeping up with the big dogs. She's growing fast, building confidence, and proving she's determined to be part of every adventure.

Just another morning of happy tails, flying ears.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there from all of us at Hurst GSDS.

Today we're giving a special nod to the fathers of our pack—Zoom, Jett, and Zeus. Watching them grow, mature, and develop into the dogs they are today has been an incredible journey.

Each one brings his own personality, strengths, and presence to the pack, and it's a privilege to see the impact they have every day.

To all the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, and father figures who guide, protect, teach, and love their families—thank you for everything you do.
We hope you have a wonderful day surrounded by the people (and dogs) you love most.

I go through a lot of different toys and products trying to find out what can actually survive life with 14 German Shepherds.

Today's test subjects were the Barkwellco herding balls.

Well... it was fun while it lasted.

If you have a powerhouse like Zoom or Jett, I'd save your money. At this point, I'm about ready to duct tape a bunch of sticks together into a ball and call it a premium toy.

Now, if you have a more dainty-sized shepherd, they might do just fine. As of right now, 2 out of 3 are still hanging in there.

That is... until Daisy decides to revenge-kill them while pretending they're Zoom.

The toy testing continues.

Poppy and Zeus tied on June 9th, we should be welcoming puppies around August 11th.

Current interest list availability:

• 1 Dark Male spot available
• 1 Dark Female spot available
• 2 Light/Blonde Female spots available
• 1 Light/Blonde Male spot available

After that, blind spots will be on a first-come basis.

Poppy is a loving, loyal girl with a gentle spirit and a wonderful off switch. She enjoys being close to her people and passes along the kind of temperament that makes a dog feel like part of the family from day one.

Exciting times are ahead at Hurst GSDS.

Poppy, our short-haired white Shepherd, is currently in heat and will soon be paired with Zeus, our long-haired black and tan male.

This will be their first pairing together, and we are excited to see what these two produce. We expect beautiful plush-coated puppies with a variety of lighter and darker tones, combined with the loving temperaments and balanced personalities both parents are known for.

Interest in this litter has already been strong, and reservations for the anticipated Poppy × Zeus litter are beginning to fill. Families are welcome to reserve their spots at any time, and once pregnancy is confirmed, picking order will be based on the order reservations were received.

Looking ahead, Willow and Zeus are expected to be our next pairing, followed by Lilac and Jett. Each pairing has been carefully planned with temperament, structure, and overall well-being in mind.

For now, all eyes are on Poppy and Zeus as we begin this exciting journey. We look forward to sharing updates along the way and watching these future puppies take their first steps into the world.

I hate to burst y'all's bubble, but Lady and the Tramp is a lie.

Zoom and Daisy aren't about to share a plate of spaghetti. They can't even share a toy, let alone a noodle.

One dropped meatball would turn into a full-blown German Shepherd negotiation, complete with side-eye, dramatic huffing, and a debate over who saw it first.

The only thing Zoom and Daisy are sharing is the belief that whatever the other one has is obviously better.
