Proof that rescue saves lives: Meet Pixie, our latest foster fail! 🏆💖

At just 10 months old, this sweet, lovable little girl was on a euthanasia list, waiting out her final days through no fault of her own. Fortunately, Green Dogs Unleashed pulled her out just in time and entrusted her to us to foster.

We tried to stick to the plan, but Pixie had other ideas! It was love at first sight, and in less than a week, she wrapped us around her little toe beans and proved she was already home.

Welcome to forever, Pixie baby—you’ll never have to worry again. 🐶🏠❤️

It is often incredibly hard for senior pets to find a forever home simply because of their age. But the truth is, older pets can be the most loving companions—they are already wise to the world and know exactly how to live with humans.

Meet Cotton: she is a sweet girl who is long past her messy kitten phase. While her curtain-climbing days are over, she still has so many years of quiet lap-cuddling time left to give.
Senior cats are truly some of the best, most appreciative companions you could ever ask for in their later years.

What a special day. My big buddy, Boaz, would have been 6 today. He was laid to rest in his favorite spots.

Boaz was the most loving, loyal companion. He enjoyed sniffing every blade of grass on his walks. Rainy days were his favorite kind of walking days, because we had the world to ourselves. Snow was his natural element. He stood on every mound like king of the hill every chance he got--never wanted to get down.

Boaz loved every moment of his life and taught us to enjoy the simple things.
