FIFTH SATURDAY "FILL THE SHOPPING BAG, GET 20% OFF" SALE IS HAPPENING THIS SATURDAY, MAY 30th, 9 am - 4 pm! Bring your shopping bag, we'll have extras for sale. Anything you can fit INSIDE the bag will be 20% OFF.
No limit on treats, bones, chews, can goods, toys and supplies. Limit of two bags of any kind of dry or frozen pet food.
Note...
It's going to be crowded so if you're bringing your dogs, please make sure they're okay with other dogs and kids and on a leash (no retractable leads).

BATESMINSTER IS ON TODAY!!!!!! The sun's trying it's best to come out! We'll be there with our doggy gelato, a biscuit bar and raffles! This year's beneficiaries are Caring For Creatures and The HOWS Project and our friends at Almost Home: Nelson Co SPCA will also be there! We're providing the prizes this event, so you know they're going to be extra good. A great brunch menu at The Batesville Market awaits. Plus the "play by play commentary" by band members of The Pollocks and friends is gonna be worth the drive.... Join us! The fun begins at 11:30!

Whether your dog is headed to the water, backyard BBQs, or enjoying a family stay-cation, our grooming team is ready to help your dog look and feel their best.
🐾 GROOMING APPOINTMENTS
Can be booked Mon - Sat, between 9 am - 4 pm. Sessions include shampoo, conditioning, de-shedding, clipping/styling, nail trim & grind, a**l gland expression and ear cleaning. Arrive at your appointment time and take your dog home as soon as they are ready.
🐾 WALK IN SERVICES
Available Mon - Sat, between 9 am - 12 pm (or by appointment) These services include: nail trim & grind, paw hair trims, sanitary trims, face & "visor" trims, a**l gland expression, ear cleaning, and tooth brushing. (We trim CAT nails too!)

Get ready for the BATESMINSTER DOG SHOW! We are so excited to be the lead sponsor of this fun afternoon in beautiful downtown Batesville on Sunday, May 24th!
🐾 We'll be there with FREE frozen treats, goodie bags, raffles and surprises for all attendees.
🐾 Joining Animal Connection will be event beneficiaries, The HOWS Project and Caring For Creatures and photographer Michael Tietgen from Familiar Studios Media Group.
🐾 This show is so much fun! Your dog will get their spotlight on the red carpet do show off your costume, do tricks, share stories, whatever you want! Prizes for the categories are... well, we're providing the prizes too... so you know those gift certificates are going to be really good!
🐾 After the show, The Pollocks will be playing at the Batesville Market. Great food will also be available there too!
🐾 No charge to attend but if you want your dog to have their moment in the spotlight, you'll need to pre-register or you can register at the show if there's space left.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL! This is me with my mom, Olema Harris. She was born in Eastern NC, Ayden to be exact and aised on a tobacco-corn-soybean growing farm. She was homecoming queen of Wheat Swamp School (all grades all together, it was small) and went to Greensboro College on a music scholarship paid for by her church. She met my dad, a Carolina grad, and followed him to metropolitain New Jersey where she had me and my two brothers
After dad was transferred to Martinsville Va, she found time in between singing in the choir and teaching rowdy fourth graders to taxi us to the barn for horseback riding lessons, early swim team practices, football-basketball-baseball practices, marching and jazz band and weekly french horn lessons driving after work to my teacher in Greensboro NC.
She managed to teach me dancing lessons and good manners hoping I'd "marry right" before I graduated Meredith College and was very tolerant of my fraternity party escapades to UNC, NCSU, U.VA. or Hampden Sydney. (Not so tolerant of my grades)
Although I was the "creative one" in a family of MBAs, she knew knowing "social graces" would prove to be a skill worth developing. She didn't know a stranger and would always welcome our friends to her kitchen table at Smith Mountain Lake.
She died way too soon after suffering for years with advanced memory issues. I think of her often when I'm greeting potential customers and long timers at Animal Connection - All Natural Store for Healthy Pets and really work hard to remember names of their family members and their pets. It's my way of keeping my memory sharp. I hope when ya'll come to my store, we make a difference in your shopping experience. My mom wouldn't have had it any other way.
