Hi everyone 👋🏼 Oh, how I’ve missed you!

Wow — a lot has happened since I last posted! I completed my PhD program and officially became Dr. Lewis 🎓 but also gained the most precious title of all: Mommy 👩🏻‍🍼🩷

For the past five months, I’ve been soaking up every baby snuggle and giggle, but now I’m ready to ease back into work (without losing my mind in the process!). With the wild cost of daycare and not wanting to miss out on these sweet moments, returning to a full-time job just didn’t feel right. So, I thought — why not do something that lets me bring my mini-me along AND reconnect with you all?

✨ I’m so excited to announce that A Caring Hand is officially resuming services! ✨

This will be very part-time, mostly daytime gigs, and will include:
🐾 Pet check-ins + walks
🚗 Transportation + errands
🍼 Babysitting (with Malia tagging along!)

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a booking — I can’t wait to catch up and help out again!

As many of you already know, I am beginning my Dissertation this month and received an amazing career opportunity which aligns me toward my dream job! Thus, I will be putting A Caring Hand on the back burner for now.

I am so thankful for each and everyone of you who have continued to support my small business and I. This sweet little business I've created throughout the years has supported me through college, introduced me to some of the most amazing people throughout this region, and has taught me just how much I'm capable of.

This is SUCH a bittersweet goodbye, but I am looking forward to this new opportunity and even more so, becoming Dr. Kristen Lewis!!! 🥳 Take care, God bless, and please know that I am always a message away 🙏

Just wanted to announce that due to an influx of service requests, we are now utilizing an online booking platform that will allow our clients to book services themselves. You just select the date and time, which service(s) you need, and any additional details. If the desired time does not appear, it is already booked or unavailable!

We are now licensed and insured!!!

I’d like to thank everyone who follows this page (and those who don’t) that have helped make this a reality. My sweet little business is growing into a name that is known around central virginia and it makes my heart SO full 🤍 That just means more individuals and families that I can serve!

By being an LLC, my clients can write the services off of their taxes each year, have a peace of mind knowing they are protected and insured, and it simply offers credibility/seriousness. I truly love the services that I offer and do not take my position for granted. None of this would exist if you all didn’t get to know me, trust me, and open your lives/homes up to me. Blessed is an understatement.

Here’s to beginning 2022 as an official company! 🥳

We are still offerring the following services all through the season:
- Dog sitting/walking
- Baby sitting
- House sitting
- Running errands
- Helping with daily necessities (dressing, eating, bathing, etc.)
- Cleaning

I hope everybody had a safe and happy 4th!

I just got back from vacation and am now helping clients again. I had the privilege to take this lovely lady to run some errands this morning, and would LOVE to help anyone else out who needs assistance with transportation and errands!
