🐴Why does a WELL EDUCATED farrier matter? 🐴

“No hoof, no horse.” There’s a reason this saying has been around for generations!

Did you know a horse carries roughly 60% of their body weight on their front feet? Their hooves play a huge role in balance, movement, shock absorption, and overall soundness!

A farrier does more than just “trim the hoof”.

A GOOD farrier evaluates things such as:
🐴Hoof Balance
🐴Conformation
🐴Heel Support & growth
🐴Medial to lateral balance
🐴Hoof to pastern alignment
🐴Overall balance

Your horse’s feet are their foundation, so choosing the right farrier is incredibly important! Always do your research, ask for references, and find someone who understands that every horse is different.

We are SO thankful for the amazing farriers we have at Clover Springs Farm and the care they put into keeping our horses moving at their very best!

Looking for a farrier? I’d be happy to share the contact information for the ones we use!

After 2 LONG weeks of stall rest and some serious treatments, Sundance is finally back on the mend!

Today we got to do a little groundwork and spend some time loving on this sweet boy! It feels so good watching him run in the herd and continue making progress!❤️

I know his little girl is happy to be back on 🥰!

A little bit about our lesson program! Our goal is to not only teach the fundamentals of riding, but also the care and responsibility that comes with working with horses. We believe it’s important for riders to experience the good, the challenging, and everything in between. It’s not always sunshine and rainbows, and understanding that is an important part of becoming a well-rounded horseman.

Private lessons are the heart of our program! Each lesson is one hour and is designed to provide individualized instruction based on experience and goals. While riding is an important part of each lesson, our program goes beyond time spent in the saddle. Riders are responsible for grooming, tacking, and caring for their lesson horse, allowing riders to learn the complete horsemanship experience from start to finish.

We know life gets busy, and we understand that! For this reason, weekly lessons are not required. However, to hold your spot in our lesson program, a minimum of two lessons must be completed each month.

We currently have very limited spots available. Once the program is full, a waitlist will be started. Reach out for pricing and to secure your spot.
