New dogs in training are wrapping up Week 1 (2 more weeks to go). Here is what they have been up to the last few days:

1. Group “place” work sessions
2. Leash heeling - multiple neighborhood routes
3. Recall during hikes
4. Obedience routines in the kennel: place, sit, down, stay (implied), come and break (free dog/ free from command).
5. Public down/stay at a park
6. E Collar is being layered into commands slowly as well.

Graduate dogs, Willow & Frazier, have been having some fun off property trips (pack hikes and open field run-arounds) while the new dogs in training take breaks/nap time from their training.

Good training + the right tools (E Collar for ultimate reliability) = fun, safe and responsible off leash freedom for our dogs!

Dogs here for training are doing great!

New dogs in training, Chandler & Dixie, have been working on their basic obedience (come, place, sit, down & implied stay) as well as learning leash pressure communication in the kennel. Both are doing fantastic!

Graduate dogs, Frazier & Willow) had STELLAR routes at Freedom Park passing a plethora of dogs (their nemesis while on leash) and had super successful trips 👏 These guys are already getting back on track 💪 👍🐕

And of course - all dogs get plenty of yard time throughout the day as well.

Another great hike & view. Adirondacks do not disappoint!

The hiking Gods were on our side for today’s hike: Ralphie and I were the only ones on the trail (out and back trail) the entire time… on a Saturday afternoon! 🤯 No idea how that was even possible on such a great trail, but… we will take it! 😎🥾🐕
